I downthumb movie childs.
I read the book. It was good, but would have been better as a long magazine article.
The man who put the Oxford Dictionary together is not much of a hook for me. However, I find the back story of film production far more interesting. The movie was ‘in the can’ way back in 2016.
There have been disputes on marketing, script endings, and release dates and financing stretching on to this day.
Neither Mel or Sean Penn put any effort into marketing this movie. A fake director’s name was put on the credits.
I don’t like Sean personally, but I hear he’s a good actor.
All that effort into learning lines, immersing into a character don’t matter, due to this sub plot. I’m sure he got paid scale.
(I own and am a big fan of the OED. Where else could one gain a clear understanding of what the Framers meant by natural born citizen!)

Somebody should tell Gibson his Scottish brogue is only marginally more authentic than Dick Van Dyke’s Cockney.
I read the book.
I read the book. A movie faithful to the text ought to be really fascinating.
Sorry I refuse to watch any movie with Sean Penn in it.
I read the book years ago. Amazing story.
