Unlike a lot of Freepers, the last thing I want is a Civil War.

A lot of my ancestors died during the last civil war, and many including the ones, who were mothers or became mothers during and after the war died in their 20-30’s. My Dad’s mother died when she in her mid 20’s and apparently had poor health.

However, the left wingers who control DC and our government have declared civil war on us as this excellent writer tells us.

Lets not forget that a true civil war is a violent contest to control the central power of the state; eg Mao v Chaing in China or Lenin v the Whites in Russia. A civil war is not a war of secession, that is a struggle by a part of a country to withdraw from a national union and form a separate government. If violence had occurred, the dissolution of the USSR would have constituted a war(s) of succession. By this reasoning, the conflict in the US between 1860-1865 was not a true civil war but was a war of succession, as Jefferson Davis had no intention of marching on Washington and replacing Lincoln.

Can’t be too many civil wars that happen in countries where the poorest are the most likely to be obese and are the most entertained poor people ever.

Both sides seem poised to not accept negative results. But eligible voters that choose not to vote will still outnumber either party’s turnout. To a large number of people, it’s just not that important. I wonder what eligible voter turnout is before civil wars break out in democratic countries.
