It was really an all-round memorable cast. The movie is often maligned, but I thought it was quite good.

Also my favorite. The original movie really short-changed the Stateside part of the story. Lieutenant Scheiskopf and the parades, and the pilot training, which was , after all, a dodge to run out the lock on war, on the part of some.
