A Florida high school teacher raised eyebrows this week after allegedly writing WTF is this? on a students homework.
Melinda Smith, the students mother, told Panama Citys WJHG on Tuesday she was shocked when her son showed her his science homework with the comment: WTF is this? absolutely no credit written on top

I couldn’t agree more.
...his science homework...
Oh! I get it. My bad.
This was science class, not sex education class.
Never mind.
Obviously the student inappropriately provided calcs for a Water Treatment Facility (WTF), when it should have been a Waste Water Treatment Facility, WWTF !
Surprised mother didn’t call 911 to object.

...And the teacher was speaking in the language of a dyslexic Yoda,...WTF this is! = WTF is this
Teachers get set up all the time by students with grudges.
I wonder if the teacher REALLY wrote it or not.
What’s wrong with writing “why the foolishness?” on a paper
My high school physics teacher would mark papers
B.S.
meaning “be specific.” At least that’s what he claimed.
:)
Is the teacher hot? From Florida?
Probably means “want to f*ck?”
Maybe it wasn’t the teacher. I was taking Math 101 as a college freshman. After a big exam the prof had brought the graded exams into the classroom...and left them on his desk. Class didn’t start for another hour.
Some practical joker spotted them and with a red pen added comments suitable to the grade. “Outstanding!” or Excellent!” went on exams with A’s or B+’s. “Study more next time!” or “You can do better than this!” for C’s.
D’s got “Just scraping by?” or “This will mess up your GPA”
F’s got both barrels: “You stupid jerk!” or “See you in summer school, you idiot!” or the classic “Why don’t you flunk out now and beat the June rush!!?”
Needless to say, the D’s & F’s called home and the dean’s office got some pretty angry phone calls. The culprit was never found.
;^)
WTF is accepted vernacular in the public school system. Especially in the inner city and minority majority schools.
Probably would not be acceptable in a private school setting, but in most public school systems, WTF is probably mild truth be known.
Big deal. Oh, wait, let’s have a National Emergency. Sound the Air Raid Sirens.
The article says “high school”. It’s late May. The student could easily be 18yo. Old enough to marry, enter into contracts, enlist in the military iow.. an adult.
I don’t know what the problem is WTF - World Taekwondo Federation!
What do you all think it means?
That one will pay for those perks through plenty of hours at McDonald’s.
He could be fired for failing to control custody of the tests. That is usually made very clear by the admin office.
Yeah. Go on thinking that.
