Some US Navy pilots reported spotting UFOs while training over the East Coast in 2014 and 2015, they said in a recent New York Times report.
The pilots told the paper they saw strange objects with no visible engine or infared exhaust plumes reaching at least 30,000 feet and flying at hypersonic speeds almost daily while training off the aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt.
These things would be out there all day, said Lt. Ryan Graves, an F/A-18 Super Hornet pilot who has been with the Navy for 10 years and who said he reported the sightings to the Pentagon and Congress.
*snip*
In late 2014, a Super Hornet pilot said he almost hit one of the objects which he said looked like a sphere encasing a cube and an official mishap report was filed.
Another pilot, Lt. Danny Accoin said he could identify a flying object on his radar, missile system and infared camera but couldnt actually see it in his helmet camera.
I knew I had it, I knew it was not a false hit, Accoin said. But still, I could not pick it up visually.
A minute-long video included in the article appears to show two encounters with the enigmatic phenomena. In one of the clips, pilots appear confused by what theyre seeing on their radar screens.
Look at that thing. Its rotating, one of them said.

Comey seems to be the ‘front runner’ right now given how deep he is in all this. But the Dems better be careful with him. In order to protect himself from serious legal jeopardy he just might start recalling some very damaging information about those above him.
Poor astronaut is probably thinking, “I like the skirts up here - you’re going to make me go back, aren’t you?”
They were going so fast they saw themselves in the Future ,LOL

East Coast = New Area 51
Thanks fieldmarshaldj, you must have pinged me while I was gathering the similar topics. Been quite a few about this over the past couple of years.
Possibly, I don’t keep track of all the articles like you do, so you can dump the dupes. ;-)
My uncle was an Air Force pilot too... saw on in the 50’s and took off after it. He told my Dad about it... and we listened it. But you’re right - other than that he didn’t talk about it either.
Though these reported Navy UFO's don't bother or attack us, they aren't entirely passive either. There is some interaction (in the USS Nimitz event, they reacted to the jets).
But they don't attack either and they don't seem to be trying to get a conversation (of any kind) going.
Given that, I would say that whatever is being witnessed isn't a threat and indeed might be some kind of heretofore undiscovered earthly phenomenon. Maybe it's alive or maybe it's a natural phenomenon that gives off energy (electrical or electromagnetic perhaps) which causes it to act the way it does.
Of course, there is always the possibility that it is a function of something alive and sentient. I just haven't seen any evidence of that so far in the Navy observations disclosed.
Many years ago, in a UK UFO aerial observation IIRC a military jet actually fired on a UFO (and missed). Nothing happened and there was no return fire.
As an aside, in my experience, the most troubling of all the UFO/extraterrestrial/interdimensional stories are the abduction experiences studied by Dr. John Mack of Harvard, Dr. David Jacobs of Temple Univ, and Budd Hopkins. Those doing to studying are solid and credible, as are their methods of analysis and conclusions. And those being studied are credible if greatly traumatized.
As Mack said, he isn't quite sure "what" is going on, but he IS sure that "something" is going on...something frightening.
If the Navy et al., are going to such trouble, it would most likely be something significant (otherwise, why the bother).
BORG!
HAHAHA! That was exactly what I thought when I read it. :D
The US Navy takes these incidents very seriously as do the pilots; we should also.
Multiple F/A-18 Pilots Disclose Recent UFOs Encounters, New Radar Tech Key In Detection
A major upgrade in fighter jet radar tech seems to have been key in detecting and tracking bizarre objects flying in military training airspace.
By Tyler Rogoway, May 27, 2019
Article includes visual tracking video via the Super Hornet's AN/ASQ-228 ATFLIR targeting pod
Older radar - AN/APG-73 - was 1980s tech. Installed radar was AN/APG-79 Active Electronically Scanned Array.
"This is a huge deal ... What is new is the level of detail offered and the fact that five pilots talked to The New York Times about this and two were on the record."
"The main revelation is that technology exists that is capable of performing flying maneuvers that shatter our perceptions of propulsion, flight controls, material science, and even physics. Let me underline this again for you, the Nimitz encounter with the Tic Tac proved that exotic technology that is widely thought of as the domain of science fiction actually exists. It is real. It isn't the result of altered perception, someone's lucid dream, a stray weather balloon, or swamp gas. Someone or something has crossed the technological Rubicon and has obtained what some would call the Holy Grail of aerospace engineering."
See post 56 - they are real and not fake news. See video taken at the time while objects were being observed VISUALLY.
Thx.
Thx again for the good work, detective.;-)
Thanks. Please go ahead and post it. I won’t have time until this coming weekend. There are 3-4 other articles by Rogoway on the same topic - they are linked in the article, but each is fascination in its own right.
