Exiled by Trump, Steve Bannon About to Rise Again in Europe
Newsweek ^ | May 25, 2019 | Cristina Maza

Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon has pledged to unite Europe’s far-right into an international alliance of populists, and the European Parliamentary elections will be the first test of whether his strategy is bearing fruit.

Leading political scientist Ivan Krastev has argued that Bannon’s form of populism is “likely to be the major alternative to liberalism in the coming decades.”

Bagster, you gotta hand it to Bannon. He gets publicity like you wouldn’t believe. Here is “in exile” but he’s in the news talking to Nigel Farage, Pen, and others. He recently made the cover of Time magazine again. Now he’s got a story with Newsweak. The other night Fox News interviewed him from Paris, and he had a live shot of the Eiffel Tower behind him. Bwahaha!

Now you can’t believe everything he says, especially on the actual clout he carries. I remember him talking about joining the Trump campaign in 2016 and you’d think that Bannon carried the day. But aside from that, he knows how to pull his weight — and then some.

If Trump has listened to Bannon instead of the swamp, maybe we would have gotten immigration reduction and border security in the first two years. Instead Trump signed multiple wall-less, migration-as-usual spending bills and nothing was accomplished.

As a result, third-world migration into our homeland will be higher under Trump than under Obama. In other words, his presidency will be meaningless. Some better judges, some good economic times, but in the end, nothing, zero, zilch accomplished to slow the permanent California-zation of our country.

Haha, yea.

I wish The Donald would send me into exile.

Kinda' makes you wonder what "clout" Bannon has to influence the so-called European "right wing", don't it?

If he's so "exiled".

😃

Take it up with Ryan & the Republican House 2016-18. There was never, ever, a chance that Trump was going to get immigration reduction through the uniparty.

From the results, it seems that Bannon failed in Europe, or did not do as well as predicted (”tsunami”). Even though nationalists won in many places, in others, they did worse than expected. Greens and pro-Climate change parties also won...

So Trump is politically impotent? He did not lift a finger to fight for his central campaign promise because he knew he was going to lose? So he quit in advance?

More migrants than Obama.

No amount of excuse making can make that hard fact go away.

We will become California. Then we will become South Africa. Trump was supposed to stop that. He did not.

Read President Donald Trump’s full statement on Steve Bannon — ‘he lost his mind’

Trump fired Bannon for good reasons. Bannon was pretending he was the brains behind the scenes, leaking to the press, and undermining Trump.

He is claiming he helped bring the various EU conservative parties together. He is likely pretending to be a leader of a movement that existed before him.

No his misinformed campaign during the Alabama senate race several years ago resulted in his exile. Leave it to a leftist rag of a magazine to get it wrong.

What are you on about? Nothing was going to get past Ryan. Nothing! Between the courts & the House & Senate Trump had no chance.

Trump proposed immigration reform. He never quit on anything. He just proposed ANOTHER immigration reform package two weeks ago. How many times did the court stop Trump on immigration... every time, right up until today. He never quit on a damn thing.

I give Trump ZERO blame. I agree we are in demographic trouble...I’ve been preaching this since the late 80s. Trump is the least of our problems on this issue.

In the end only the numbers matter. Everything else is spin.

The Trump presidency having no effect on our rate of demographic transformation means that it is useless.

Emotionally gratifying perhaps because of all the purported “trying” and “effort” and because of all the nice-to-hear rhetoric, but in the end, in the real world of migration hard numbers...it is still useless.

So your saying Bannon “plans” on doing things is the same as doing things.
Bannon was pushed out of the WH because he did not help. Then he started calling Jr a traitor. Bannon is sewage

Unless you are a constitutional illiterate, and I know that you are not, there are three branches of government & Trump controls one of them.

The other two branches had no intention of shutting down legal or illegal immigration. Period.

Trump urged Mitch to lift the filibuster in the Senate & pass immigration reform. Mitch would not do it. Put the blame where it belongs. Blaming Trump is asinine & ignores reality.

Alabama and Bannon’s being kicked out of US politics was the price Trump paid to get McTurtle behind his agenda. And Bannon and Trump knew that from the beginning. Mission accomplished, IMHO.

And here I thought it was his giving Mrs. Turtle a nice, cushy government job.

Elaine Lan Chao is the current United States Secretary of Transportation. Chao married Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell in 1993.
