I have yet to figure out why the Russians would help Trump get elected.
The Mueller report says that a Russian businessman with "close ties" to Putin ran some ads on social media to help Trump get elected. Thus "the Russians" interfered with our election.
The report is silent about any foreign ads to help Hillary. Did those happen too? If so, what was the scale compared to the Trump ads?
Nothing in the report.
If the Clintons can be bought, why wouldn't the Russians want Hillary to get elected?
They didn’t interfere. Have you seen any of the Facebook ads they supposedly bought? All $130k worth? No one else has either because they don’t exist. It’s all a lie.
Something the dems have given their enthusiastic support to.

The reason you don’t understand these things is the reason why you are reading Free Republic instead of CNN, NYT, or WaPo.
To understand why “The Russians!” would want Trump to be POTUS you would need to drink a whole lot of that Democrat Kool-Aid.

I saw the ads.
They were distinctive.
They were moronic.
They were staggeringly bad, low quality, stupid, culturally ignorant.
If Trump had anything to do with them, he’d have demanded a refund.
In no way would Trump need to hire incompetent foreign advertisers for a lame ad campaign costing pocket change.
The theory is preposterous.
So, I read the entire Mueller report with an open mind. Why not?
Based on what I read here and elsewhere, I’m guessing most people haven’t read it, but just “know” the answers indirectly.
This post was to point out an inconsistency that I haven’t heard anyone address directly. Of course, I could have missed it.
It came out a long time ago that some Russians started buying ads back in 2014. These ads supported Black Lies Matter. As the election got nearer, they put out ads in support of Bernie Sanders, Jill Stein, Marco Rubio, Hillary Clinton and later Trump. During the campaign, both anti- and pro-Trump demonstrations were organized as well as pro- and anti-Hillary demonstrations. All these were very small with just a handful of people attending.
The Russians weren’t trying to get Trump elected, that’s why they handed Clinton the dossier full of Russian disinformation to be used to derail Trump. They would have much preferred Clinton. They had already bought her with $140 MILLION “donation” to the Clinton Foundation.

You are going to need an Army with several Divisions to track the “inconsistencies in media”.
Everyone knows that Russians like Vodka and potatoes, right? OK, let’s say Hillary is elected president. All the coal miners would be out of work and looking for new jobs. That would mean, um, less vodka and potatoes for Russia. I think that is pretty obvious.
It’s not inconsistencies in the media that accounts for a dozen SOmalians attacking with iron pipes and hammers NOT being in the media but fawning over ONE black Valedictorian does. That is agenda and the agenda is racist.
Thanks. I remember the beginnings of the "Russia" rumblings early on, thought they came from Hillary, and am shocked at how long it has lasted and how much of a todo it's generated thanks to the MSM. I didn't pick on the fact that the Russians were just making noise to disrupt. Not at all surprising.
The fact that the Mueller report only mentions one side of it is damning.

Hillary is Putin’s soul mate and that was proved by her compliance in the little sale us US uranium. If anything qualifies HER as the Russian favorite for WH occupancy, THAT does!

Trump, on his BEST day, would still be a perfect pain in the a&^ for Russians and the very last person they’d move one inch to assist into the WH!
The answer is simple. The Russians love adversity. They hated getting their way simply by paying bribes. They wanted somebody who would hurt their economy with sanctions, would demand they get out of the Middle East and stymie their political and economic plans at every turn instead of aiding them. Russians are like people who cut themselves for fun and stimulation. That’s why they wanted Trump in office.
Hilary used her state department position to enrich herself through pay to play money directed into the Clinton Foundation. The Russians paid well for uranium one access. The Russians already had a relationship with Clinton and knew she was compromised,greedy and bought. Why in the world would Russians help Trump?
I have yet to figure out why the Russians would help Trump get elected.

One reason might be that, before the election, it seemed that Hillary Clinton was simply ITCHING for a war with Russia.
I have no idea why, or if that was all just some kind of pose she was putting on to make it seem like she could actually be a Commander-in-Chief.
