More than 200 of the world’s top women’s hockey players are joining forces in an effort to “create a sustainable professional league,” formally launching the Professional Women’s Hockey Players Association last week.
The organization, which filed articles of incorporation on Friday, will be “dedicated to promoting and supporting the creation of a single, viable women’s professional league in North America,” the law firm representing it said in an email. Formation of the union comes after players earlier this month vowed not to compete in any North American league under current conditions, which could leave elite players without a professional outlet close to home for the coming year.

I want to watch women’s beach volleyball, not women’s hockey...
I hope they do better than the AAF did.
I think they need to take lessons learned from the LFL on uniform design. Otherwise they will likely not get viewership and worse be replaced by self identified women.
Who would watch women’s hockey except people who are fixated on gender politics?

I want to see Kamila Harris require female hockey players be paid equal to NHL players. It’s only “fair”. They do the same job.

Oooookay. What comes first? A union to represent players or an organization to produce the games, fans, and money?

The Columbus, Georgia minor league franchise had a girl goalie for a while. They fried to use the novelty to sell tickets. The tickets didn’t sell. The team wasn’t very good.
The main problem with Women’s Sports is that women won’t watch them. And men only certain ones like gymnastics or beach volleyball or trampoline for the obvious reasons.
Add to this the fact that top tier High School boys teams would trounce pro women’s team. Un-PC. But reality doesn’t need anyone’s approval.
