I’ve been getting hate mail for almost a year now, ever since I asked White House press secretary Sarah Sanders to leave my Lexington, Va., restaurant, the Red Hen, last June. ***
Faced with the prospect of serving a fine meal to a person whose actions in the service of our country we felt violated basic standards of humanity, we balked. We couldn’t do it.
I took Ms. Sanders aside and politely suggested she leave. She agreed, equally politely. She may or may not have expected this day would come, but she never showed any sign of outrage, or even much surprise. We’d drawn a line; she’d accepted it.
I’m pretty sure both of us thought that was the end of the matter.
When I awoke the next morning, social media was on fire. The incident had gone from a Facebook post to a tagged tweet to nationally trending news with the whoosh of lighter fluid to a flame.
The blowback was swift and aggressive. Within 24 hours, the restaurant’s phone line was hacked, my staff and I were doxxed, and threats to our lives and families and property were pouring in through every available channel. Protesters colonized the streets around the restaurant. Thousands of fake Yelp reviews torpedoed our ratings, and dozens of people attempted to lock up our tables with reservations they had no intention of honoring. ***

Kind of funny how party A (Democrats) can hand over a legacy of some things to party B (GOP) and not question it at all when they do it themselves, but jump down the throat of the other party.
It was, and still is, a complex question faced with many ruses. “Undocumented” people can’t, by definition, document who their kids are, either. In the old days, people who really were fleeing fatal trouble in their homelands would accept the parting of adults and children philosophically, hoping and praying for an eventual reunion under better circumstances.
What’s the best we could hope for here — DNA verification? And then do the children belong where the adults are detained? It’s not like we’ve got housing for individual families either... damned if you do, damned if you don’t. It’s 9 parts ruse to 1 part legitimate concern, and at that hypocritical.
But the Democrats don’t want a policy debate about the merits. They want to oversimplify and then to try to shame the GOP for following laws that Democrats wrote. Go figure.
Didn’t this POS follow Sanders to another restaurant harassing her and her group?

Since I probably would never eat in her pretentious overpriced eatery anyway it does no good for me to say I would never ever under any circumstances knowingly do any business with a self righteous smug liberal jackass such as this woman. I wouldn’t p**s down her throat if her guts were on fire.

I’d love to see one anonymous person every day, after eating at the Red Hen, collapse at their table and be taken to the ER via ambulance complaining of food poisoning.
