The beloved actor is best known for characters like the Oldest Man and Mr. Tudball
Tim Conway has died at the age of 85.
He passed away at 8:45 a.m. in the Los Angeles area on Tuesday, his rep Howard Bragman confirms to PEOPLE.
Prior to his death, he suffered complications from Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH) and had no signs of dementia or Alzheimers.
Conway is survived by his wife of 35 years, his stepdaughter, his six biological children and two granddaughters. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family would like donations to be made to The Lou Ruvo Brain Center at the Cleveland Clinic in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The beloved actor is best known for his work on The Carol Burnett Show, winning viewers over with characters like the Oldest Man and Mr. Tudball, whose accent he has said was inspired by his Romanian mother. He was known to ad-lib his sketches even surprising his scene partners and won a Golden Globe Award for the series in 1976, along with Emmys in 1973, 1977 and 1978.
At a 2013 event promoting his memoir, Whats So Funny? My Hilarious Life, Burnett, now 86, painted her collaborator as an on-set prankster.
Tims goal in life was to destroy [costar] Harvey Korman, she told the crowd, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Harvey wet his pants, Conway bragged.
Its an anecdote he also recalled in a 2013 interview with the Los Angeles Times.
Harvey never saw what I was going to do until he was actually doing the sketch, he said. As a matter of fact in the dentist sketch you can actually see Harvey wet his pants from laughing.

Rest in peace, Mr. Conway.
Rest in peace, Tim.
I folowed Tim on Facebook. He always had witty posts, but he stopped about two years ago.
I figured he wasn’t well.
OMG, as soon as the first frame came up, I began to laugh out loud! Got some tears, too...
From the second he opened his mouth, the look on her face showed that she knew she was doomed!
We lost a good one with the passing of Tim Conway.
RIP Tim
May he rest in peace.

Not even a fair fight! They would all try to look away from the camera...I remember watching one where Carol Burnett had her face covered, was looking away, but her shoulders were jumping up and down.
I saw an interview with Carol Burnett in which she said all during the week in rehearsals, Tim Conway would stick to the script and perform his lines exactly as written. Once they got out in front of the audience to tape the show, the script went out the window, and he would ad-lib his way through the sletch, cracking up the other cast members.
“had no signs of dementia or Alzheimers.”

Do you guys read what is posted? Sorry dumb question on FR.
Harvey Korman is now in Heaven unable to hold his laughter with Conway next to him. :)
Yeah, somebody posted her obit recently though..............
You know you’re good when you can break up Vicki Lawrence. Carol was a pushover, but Vicki was one tough cookie.
This hurts about as bad as when Harvey Korman died. Both masters of the art.
Lena Horne has been dead for lo, these past 9 years...
RIP Mr. Conway. You were one of the good ones.
R.I.P.
I remember his own late 70s or early 80s comedy show.
RIP Tim.
And still is.................
Ill know him best as ensign Parker on McHales Navy. And Mr tudball on the Burnett show.
RIP Dorf
