Well then what happened to videos showing the trail? With your explanation, no reason for them to have disappeared.

I knew someone—Dan Gabor—who died on that flight—also was the CA 1987 HS state champion in the 800 (track) so every headline of his too-short life had the number 800 in it.

Yep. That's the current conspiracy theory. Just answer one question if you would; shoulder fired missiles are solid propellant which leaves a white trail.

I have no knowledge about shoulder fired missiles, but i'm pretty sure they could make the smoke a different color if they so chose to do. I also have no knowledge that it was a "shoulder fired missile." It may very well have been a rack mounted missile.

What I do know is that it was fired from a boat offshore by Iranian mercenaries. I believe Jack Cashill and his partner on this topic have determined the most likely missile type that was used.

The NTSB reports that the fuel tank was leaking and the exhaust gasses from the engines ignited it at a distance from the plane and shot upwards following the fuel leakage trail.

That is silly. Somehow the fuel is going to ignite at some great distance from the plane? Bullsh*t.

And how fast was that thing going? 300 mph? How much fuel density would there be with a 300 mph wind dispersing it?

Also, doesn't the "leaking tank theory" contradict the "it was started by an electrical discharge in the center fuel tank theory"?

Actually Louis Freeh’s fault, though Weasel Mueller was around somewhere in the DOJ at the time most likely.

Kallstrom led the FBI team that investigated the TWA 800 crash. Initially the investigation was following the missile shoot down theory. Kallstrom was summoned to Washington returning a couple of days later ... from that point on the investigation went with the fuel tank explosion. Kallstrom was given his marching orders in Washington. This was definitely a surface to air missile strike ... too many witnesses, both on the ground on the shore of eastern Long Island and airline pilots reported the contrail of a missile arching up from the surface (described by many as looking like a inverted Nike swoosh) and the flash of an explosion. A few seconds later the witnesses on the shoreline heard the explosion.
Kallstrom recently came up as someone who Trump should have appointed to head up the FBI. Don't think so ...

Ridiculous explanation of fuel leaking from the tank and being ignited by engine exhaust. 747’s have a fuel jettison system that dumps fuel out the back of the wing tanks and it doesn’t catch on fire and blow up the aircraft inflight.

Thank you.

"My husband’s military friends tend to agree that it was a US missile that did this."

As someone who has stood thousands of hours of CIC watches on Aegis cruisers and destroyers, and spent a 30 year career in the Surface Navy, I recommend you ignore anything your husband's "military friends" say about such things. 800 truthers are right up there with 9/11 truthers.

OK, do us a favor, write down everything. Old school, pen on paper. Old school carbon copies. No electronics anywhere. If you put it on your computer it could be hacked. If you run it through a copier, well, they have internet connections and hard drives that keep copies of documents printed and reproduced.

Send carbon copies to trusted friends with instructions not to open until the conditions you set have passed.

That ‘certain direction’ you allude to needs to see the full light of day. Americans can handle the truth, really, we can.

Upon further study...

150 eye witnesses saying an object came up from the water and hit the plane before it exploded, took out a full page ad in the NYT paying for their story out of frustration that the investigators wouldn't even interview them.

Much evidence of something being covered up and papered over by the Clinton era exec branch. Look into it someday.

Here's a video that seems to layout both sides of the story

Also has an FBI guy saying how absurd it is to think he would lie or be in a coverup. Wow! Go back to your houses! There is nothing for you to see here!

I’ve said for years that IF the aircraft was shot down, it was far more likely to be a case of a military exercise gone awry than an act of terrorism.

I believe the CIA took effective control of the investigation after that.

If you see hoof prints, it's most likely a horse, but Zebras can make hoof prints indistinguishable from a horse.

This one is a Zebra. An Iranian Zebra.

It happened to a Boeing 737 at the Manila airport.

As for fuel being ignited at a distance from a jet exhaust there are test results from that actually happening. That fuel is in the shadow of the plane for starters and secondly, the F14 Tomcat can do exactly that: a fuel dump port between the vertical stab's spews raw fuel to the rear of the plane to be ignited by the jets exhaust.

And how do you personally know that an air to air rocket was fired from a boat off shore. All the witnesses said they saw a red streak heading back up towards the plane, not a white streak as what a solid propellant would produce.

Which then would beg the question as to why they would want to change the color of the rocket signature to red.

Jack Cashill is a conspiracy advocate for the downing. His work on the subject has been discredited as nonsense.

No offense, but I’m calling bullsh!t on that one. Anyone who wanted to shoot down a passenger jet flying eastbound out of JFK Airport that night wouldn’t have been positioned so far to the east where the aircraft would have usually been flying at an altitude in excess of 18,000 feet.

Another thing: A Missile fired at a target does not go Through the target and out the other side. A proximity fuse detonates the warhead slightly before the missile ‘hits’ the target. This is to do more damage.

Ron Brown’s business partner was on TWA800. Ron Brown was killed when his plane was led off course into a mountainside in Croatia...he supposedly had a bullet hole in the top of his head about the size of a .45..........
