Would love to see this movie remade as a colonoscopy.

I hear Raquel Welch swung her arms when she walked in this one. I was young and didn’t really notice her arms.

Saw it when it first came out. I had forgotten that Messala was in it. Keep expecting him to say “It’s never over, Judah”.

Is there any actress today with the class of Raquel? (True, she couldn’t act, but did any of us really care back then?)

I was 8 when it came out, one of the first “grown up” movies I watched.

With all of the modern digital technology, if Hollywood didn’t screw it up, this film would make an excellent remake.

Didn’t Asimov have something to do with this? The original story or something?

Darned if Donald Pleasance from THX1138 isn’t in that scene.

We watched this movie back in the early ‘80s in health class. It’s funny because it looks really dated now but back then it was still fairly current.

Come along and ride on a fantastic voyage ust slide, glide, slippity-slide
Just forget about your troubles and your 9 to 5
And just sail on (That’s what you do), just sail on

When I saw the movie in the theater in the fall of 1966, I realized that this was a Cold War movie. The victim's name was Jan Beneš, so he was obviously Czech. However, the movie makers chose to play down the conflict between Communism and the West, saying only that "the other side" got to him.

Early on as a moviegoer, I noticed that in films that pitted the West against fascism, the fascists were clearly the bad guys and the West usually won. By contrast, films with Cold War themes usually concluded with a catastrophe (Fail Safe, Dr. Strangelove, The Bedford Incident) or a Mexican standoff (The Russians Are Coming!, Ice Station Zebra).

Saw it as a kid at my local movie theater. I was 10. Couldn't understand why I couldn't take my eyes off Raquel.

I like the Archer season six 2-part finale homage better.

The daughter of Saul David, the producer, was a friend of mine back in the early Eighties.

They had to exit the scientists body before Raquel Welch’s breasts got too big again.

It always bugged me that they saved the crew on a tear, supposedly saving the scientist’s life as the shrinking ray wore off and everything returned rapidly to normal size. . . Which would have killed the scientist had they been left inside his body.

BUT THE LEFT THEY WRECKAGE OF THE DAMN SUB INSIDE HIM!!!!

The Mad magazine parody was much better than the movie.
