Sometimes even a new manhole cover opening ceremony is an event, when you have no other news around.

This is called Samovar and this is a Samovar monument. However there is also some Elephant on the background.

I got lowered into a pit on a backhoe....to protect me from the sand walls if they should collapse.
Our utility company uses a bucket all the time...this is just a little improvising.

I would have never seen the machete. That one would be a cutie in almost any culture!

It has its drawbacks. My dad let me sit in the Ferguson tractor bucket and he raised me up high. It was pretty neat until my younger brother, sitting on dad’s lap, reached over and pulled the dump lever. Look out below.

Moscow city is a city of contrasts.
Seeing architecture like this and what is being built in Asia, makes me realize America is stuck in the nineteen fifties. I don’t know if it’s the lack of money, the lack of imagination, of the lack of ambition, but when you country looks like a metastasized Buffalo, NY, you’re not trying hard enough.

Washing vegetables in the laundromat sounds efficient. Better than in the shower, like Kramer.
To: Red Badger
I have too. Except I had my Stihl chainsaw. He lifted me up to cut branches off a broken pine tree that was near power lines. I then cut the top of the tree off. If we had cut the tree from the ground, it would have fallen on the wires. It was much safer than trying to do it from a ladder. Its not that much different than a bucket truck.
To: Red Badger
Yeah, I’ve done that deal with the front loader. Went back to see what the deal is with whatever machete... still can’t find it.
