I invited my dear friend Garry Rodgers retired homicide detective with a second career as a forensic coroner to share a fascinating post about the real cause of Elvis Presleys death. Prepare to be wowed. Welcome to TKZ, Garry!
Elvis Presley suddenly dropped in the bathroom of his Graceland mansion on the afternoon of August 16, 1977. Elvis was rushed to Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, where he was pronounced dead, then shipped to the morgue and autopsied the same afternoon. Three days later, the Memphis County coroner issued Elvis Presleys death certificate stating the cause as hypertensive cardiovascular disease with atherosclerotic heart disease a heart attack subsequent to high blood pressure and blocked coronary arteries.
It was a rush to judgment. Toxicology results soon identified ten pharmaceutical drugs in Elviss system. Codeine was at ten times the therapeutic level and the combination of other prescription drugs suggested a poly-pharmacy overdose. This revelation started immediate accusations of a cover-up and conspiracy theories quickly hinted at sinister criminal acts.
Four decades later, modern medicine and forensic science looked at the Presley case facts. The review indicated something entirely different from a heart attack or drug overdose really killed the King of Rock n Roll. It said Elvis Presley accidentally died after long-term complications from earlier traumatic brain injuries (TBIs). TBIs are known as silent, stalking, and patient killers.

His voice doesn’t match his lips at the end.
When your spouse has multiple sclerosis, you need things to laugh about. When reminded to put on her seat belt, she will occasionally respond that she is safer in a car than anywhere else, she's auto immune...
And Elvis is wherever he is after he left the building, and wherever that is, it is not here. I hope for his sake that it is where I will be when I shuffle off this mortal coil.
People told me for years I needed to see this without telling me a thing about it. One day I saw the tape in the library. Hysterical.
“The dude ate terribly, weighed 350 pounds”
Based on the video in this thread from two months prior to his death, he had to have put on 100 plus pounds in those 60 days. Not buying it. According to a member of his Memphis Mafia he had played some racket ball earlier in the day. Not sure how someone 350 lbs and bed ridden does that.
Well, if he wasn’t dead then, I think he’s dead by now, unless he got a lot healthier wherever he’s been hiding.
Elvis is right here playing cards...
One morning a young guy came in as we were having coffee before work.
He did a perfect story about recognizing Elvis working at the Quickie Mart, as he picked up a paper.
He ended with Elvis asking him not to tell and please buy his records.
And he was born years after Elvis had left the building.
Personality change was observed in most patients with severe brain injury.
Physical trauma breaks cells apart. Cells spill broken mitochondria into the surrounding fluids. Mitochondria are evolved bacteria. The immune system starts an immune response to the mitochondria. Cells all over the body periodically express mitochondrial DNA. The immune system expands the immune response into an autoimmune response, attacking organs and tissue all over the body.
Rest in peace Elvis.
Awesome. I had to look at the lyrics bc I’d believe anything these days.
If Elvis was still alive I would recommend trying low-dose naltrexone.
So I have to ask, as my teachers would have...Who is they?
Elvis Presley died on Aug. 16, 1977, in the bathroom of his Graceland mansion in Memphis, Tennessee. He was 42 at the time of death. He had been on the toilet but had fallen off onto the floor, where he lay in a pool of his own vomit. He was found by his girlfriend, Ginger Alden. Panicked, his staff contacted an ambulance which rushed him to Baptist Memorial Hospital; after several attempts to revive him, he died at 3:30 pm CST.

“9. Elvis Presley Although one of the most famous to die in their bathrooms, Elvis wasnt found on his toilet. He was several feet away from the toilet, where he had apparently crawled in an attempt to get help, interrupted whilst using the toilet. He was obese, and suffered from glaucoma, high blood pressure, liver damage, had a history of abusing prescription drugs, and an enlarged colon. One of his coroners said he had the arteries of an eighty-year old. Although there is some dispute over whether it was the massive drug intake, the weight, or the actual straining at stool (as his biographer puts it) that caused his heart attack, the moral remains the same: you cant have too much fibre in your diets, kids.”
A program that I saw on thismatter stated that “Evlis’s” colon was 3 times larger than a normal person’s, and this was attributed to constipation caused by opiate abuse.
I dunno what to tell you, he died taking a s***.
I was so sure it was going to be global warming.
Yes drugs didn’t make the guy 350 pounds. He died straining at stool because opioids are highly constipative and he was popping them like candy. No wonder he had an impaction. What a sad story.
Lack of metamucil
Presley’s dr. was tried for medical malpractice? or something to do in the death of Elvis. he was aquitted on the grounds that he was treating Elvis’ medical condition . ADDICTION!! . Elvis was hooked on painkillers.. and he preacribed pain killers to treat Presley’s addiction because he feared elvis would turn to street drugs if he hadnt prescribed enough drugs to keep him doped up. and they aquitted him. noone told elvis no or putS elvis in rehab, NOONE!
I cannot imagine it honestly.
I have had a few instances of constipation in my life, nothing too serious and definitely not related to opiates, but it was quite painful. Like if it was any worse, I’m not sure how I could have handled it.
I have heard that the constipation caused by opiate abuse is just incredible.
It's absolutely clickbait.
From the article
"Rigor mortis had not set in, so hed probably expired within the hour." Claptrap. Rigor Mortis: "Rigor mortis usually sets in within four hours, first in the face and generally smaller muscles. The body reaches maximum stiffness within twelve to forty-eight hours. However, this time may vary due to environmental conditions cooler conditions inhibit rigor mortis." Set aside the fact that Elvis was known to blast the air conditioner constantly, the article is factually incorrect.
"His weight estimated at 350 poundsgaining 50 lbs. in the last few months of his life." The hospital death certificate said 250, the revised death certificate said 170 (probably changed at the family's request). Photos taken the day before he died suggest 250 is more likely
His lungs showed signs of emphysema, although hed never smoked...
Simple google search:
LARRY KING (Interview at Graceland): We have a cigarette case here, too. Did he smoke?
PRISCILLA PRESLEY: Yes, he smoked. We have a cigarette holder. This is one of the first presents that I actually got him in 1962 for Christmas.
