A six-stone emaciated man who was deemed 'fit to find work' by the DWP has died.
Stephen Smith, 64, died on Monday, after struggling with a number of severe health problems.
His case hit the headlines recently when a fitness for work assessment by the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) denied him vital benefits.
Shocking images showed the 64-year-old Liverpool man emaciated in hospital after he was admitted with pneumonia.
However, despite his glaringly obvious poor health and worrying weight loss, Mr Smith was forced to leave hospital to fight a decision by the DWP which insisted he was fit and capable of finding work.
He won the appeal after a tribunal judge saw he could barely walk down the street let alone hold down a job.
And after finally agreeing to re-instate his benefit, the DWP confirmed he would also receive back-payments for the money he was wrongly denied.

I’m sure that whatever the socialists can come up with for “free” healthcare for all, the first thing Congress will do will be to exempt themselves and all their aid from it just like they did for Obamacare.
Or he just had really bad pneumonia and would have recovered fine with bedrest and perhaps an IV.
Don’t minimize the extent to which socialized medicine tends to make easily treated maladies into trips in a hearse.

If only he’d been named Mohammed, his situation would have been better.
For as bad of shape as he was in , which looks like he was dying, his condition evidences he and others either were not giving proper care, or he was indeed dying and they were simply making him as comfortable as possible.
I do not believe he was left starving. There’s more to this story.

He was fit for work. His job was to die.

A friend who is an expat in GB had a niece by marriage who had four young children. She was increasingly ill, and had been seen by NHS staff a number of times.
She died on her sofa of complications of Pneumonia.
NO young mother of four dies in the US on their sofa of complications of pneumonia. So far.
They are the first into the ICUs and are well treated without thought to cost.

There are all those migrants to feed,shelter, and provide healthcare for now. There is no reason a White Brit can’t work till he falls dead in harness.
