A Chicago alderman believes “soft on crime” policies by Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx helped embolden hundreds of teens who took part in a massive "wilding" in downtown Chicago Wednesday night.
Chicago police say more than 30 teens were arrested, and it has merchants on the Mag Mile jittery.
Police estimate about 500 teens, spurred on by social media, flooded into the downtown area, many intending to create havoc.
Hundreds of police responded, arresting 31 people on charges ranging from mob action to battery -- most later released to family members.
"If there's no consequences to criminal acts you're going to see an increase in criminal acts,” said Alderman Brian Hopkins.

It is much more than Foxx. Blacks have been “wilding” in various places across the country since Obama was POTUS (and before, but it is much more orchestrated now). Happened to a few malls in my area outside Pittsburgh, PA. Happened downtown in past few years, IIRC.
Also happens in organized mobs of dozens invading stores across the country, swarming and stealing everything they want.
It is Obama’s fault. He also could help the issue, if he cared about “his people.”

And we all know why that is.
Chicago has had unfettered Democrat Party rule since 1931. I’ve lived in the area since 1972 and for the life of me I can’t name a single Republican that’s run for the office in that time.
The “culture” in those neighborhoods exists because Chicago politicians want it to. They planted the seeds, nurtured them, and are now reaping the harvest. The gangs get to deal their drugs, run the prostitution, kick a bit back the the alderman running the Ward, and function as a Get Out The Vote Army every 4 years.
And the cops, the vast majority of whom are trying to deal with this ****, are stuck in the middle.
But things are coming to a head, I think. The Morlocks are seeking prey outside of their neighborhoods and are descending on the “decent” areas of the city. As long as the mayhem was confined to Englewood, Pullman, Austin, Garfield Park, etc nobody gave a ****. But now they’re moving into the Mag Mile, Gold Coast, and River North. So the quiet little bargain of the last few decades is getting tossed out the window.
It’s gonna be a long, hot summer here in ChiTown.

Yes I see your point, will the powers that be, push back against the feral gang types from infesting the nice areas?
I lived in Chicago years ago. I lived in Edgewater then in Rogers Park. My girlfriend who became my wife, lived near Water Tower Place. I took the L and exited at Chicago and State to go visit her. It’s unbelievable to me that such an area is seeing this mayhem.
I’d say genetics have more to do with it. Just take a look at any riot in Africa, its the same mentality.

That’s well under way. When they closed Cabrini Green, Altgeld Gardens, and the like they moved a whole lot of folks into “scattered site” housing. Supposedly the motive was to “break the cycle” of generation after generation living in gang infested high rises.
Then a whole bunch of absentee landlords started dropping them into Section 8 housing in the suburbs. We had it right on our own block out here in DuPage County. One “single mother” would move in who was immediately joined by the utterly predictable “teens” almost before the ink was dry on the lease.
It took us almost 5 years to clean the riff raff out once they got a foothold. The landlords didn’t pay attention until my Village passed a Nuisance Property ordinance and seized one of the homes. That changed their behavior.
It’s a giant game of Whack-A-Mole now. But our little Village doesn’t tolerate it. There are strict requirements for all rental properties these days, including regular inspections. No criminal activity is tolerated and Neighborhood Watches work very closely with the local PD.
But Mrs. L and I are done with Illinois. The goal is 2 years and we are gone. We’ve got friends who just moved from Wheaton to Texas and are loving it. They told us that even with the same jobs and the same salaries they got a $30k annual raise.
So we’d be stupid to stick around here just waiting for the wheels to come off. And come off they will.

It's difficult for the Chicago Black Community to blame 'white people' for all their problems if they NEVER interact with 'white people'.
So black kids come downtown looking for trouble AND an excuse to keep their non-stop pity parties going...
