I agree. But the leftist pro-Islamic French government will not respond, and this will all be washed away as a “work accident,” since they were doing renovations.
Fires can often start in a renovation, but they don’t spread like that unless accelerants have been placed there. My theory about why they weren’t using water to put it out is that there may have been phosphorus placed at various points, and water activates phosphorus.
I can’t believe that they’re blaming it on the “old wood structure,” because they actually rebuilt a lot of it several years ago. I contributed to the rebuilding and when I was in Paris last year, I remember looking around at mass and thinking what a good job they had done. Even the lady who was dunning us for money (because we went to mass there but that night we were going to a concert) was proud of the work they had done.
