Cindy McCain, the widow of GOP Sen. John McCain, on Friday slammed the idea of a wall to curtail human trafficking at the southern border, which President Donald Trump has repeatedly cited as a problem in an attempt to build support for his long-promised barrier.

In her NBC News interview on Friday, McCain also lamented the lack of civility in Washington and said that her husband, who died last August, would have wanted lawmakers to debate one another on the issues but work together on a bipartisan basis.

If you have a little time to spend, go on Google Earth and follow the US border from San Diego to Brownsville. Much of it has no barrier at all. Having a modern barrier would make a difference - no question. Actually, if done correctly, the border could be modernized in such a way as to become a big economic plus, potentially for Mexico too.

That is the thing - anything that will effectively stop the illegal immigration is off the table - here are some of the things we could do to solve the problem but can't for some dumb ass reason. For the most part in order of effectiveness

1. Military messing up Mexico - just some bombs to let them know - we will harm their nation if they keep this up
2. Close normal ports of legal entry
3. Shoot people entering illegally
4. Seize wire transfers to bad acting countries
5. No social services for illegals
6. Jail Time for those hiring illegal aliens - that means everybody (maids, and gardeners too)
7. No trade deals
8. No anchor babies
9. No chain migration
10. ICE raids and round ups (IN PROGRESS)
11. Cut off any foreign aid (IN PROGRESS)
12. No public school for illegal kids
13. Bio-metric ID (branding) visa system
14. Build a wall (IN PROGRESS
15. Duarte style bounty on MS-13 members

I'm sure there are more effective ideas and I bet they are all forbidden too -

Walls, in and of themselves, cannot “end” human trafficking, but they can force that traffic into other channels where it is much easier to keep tabs on who comes and goes, and also for what purpose.
