Cindy McCain, the widow of GOP Sen. John McCain, on Friday slammed the idea of a wall to curtail human trafficking at the southern border, which President Donald Trump has repeatedly cited as a problem in an attempt to build support for his long-promised barrier.

In her NBC News interview on Friday, McCain also lamented the lack of civility in Washington and said that her husband, who died last August, would have wanted lawmakers to debate one another on the issues but work together on a bipartisan basis.

She also heads the human trafficking initiative at the McCain Institute and was in New York City to participate in the 10th annual Women in the World program at Lincoln Center.
...but she hates Trump so much she doesn't want to fix even some of the problem if it's Trump's idea.

She is partially correct...this is a multi-layer solution, and the wall simply represents the first of a dozen-odd steps that will have to take place over the next decade. Eventually, after the wall is done, we will probably go to some ‘citizen-card’ that you have to carry on your person, to ID who you are, or if you are a ‘visitor’.
She’s right - the cartels have assured her that her payments will continue despite the wall

A trillion dollars and 4k deaths did not fix the middle east either. A few billion bucks is chump change and will prevent deaths.
I had this same argument with a liberal this week.
Suppose the wall can’t STOP it. A 90% reduction is still great progress and worth the effort.
Perhaps this is a case of me digging through a pile of manure in hopes of finding a pony, but it bodes well that AT LEAST she acknowledges that human trafficking is taking place.
