You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications, unfortunately they are copyrighted so we can't use them here. So, we're just going to make up our own.
The way it works is a letter stands for another letter.
For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post y/12/2019our time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for todays Cryptogram.
Solving the puzzle under 8 minutes is good, under 6 very good, under 4 excellent and under 2 "you're a pro!"
Those of you looking for an added challenge can try to solve one sentence or even one word at a time, i.e. solve the entire first line, then go to the second line etc.
If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hals Helper below:
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.
Solution to our last puzzle:
I CANT THINK OF ANY BETTER REPRESENTATION OF BEAUTY THAN SOMEONE WHO IS UNAFRAID TO BE HERSELF. EMMA STONE
about 4 minutes. yesterday took fore freaking ever, I must have gotten interrupted a dozen times.
WOW!!!!!
That was so fast the people are still filling the ‘cheap seats’.
You is the key....(sic)
About 5-6 minutes. That’s a great quote. I’d like to think he’s talking about women. =)
2 minutes, some nice reverses on this one.
Two sets of 2 letter words, each pair start with one letter and ends with a different letter so the guessing is easier. Place the E and a couple common words, guess by filling in and reverse some of the fill ins that were early guesses.
Nice tidy satisfying cryptogram.
About 4 min. There was no race for home. Slow and steady solved this one today.
3-4 minutes. Rather confusing.
As in finding the letter “U”? Yes, you’re right. This was a quote of “U”s.
?....Okay...How so?
About 5 minutes. Another good one!
And nuts.
Ha!
The authors best known work is a common word spelled backwards.
The last three days have been one minute puzzles. I couldn’t get to Wednesdays and Thursdays until late in the evening though because they posted after I had to go to work. Seems like you aren’t sleeping in this morning. :)
Haha!
I’m not giving the group easy ones. These are right out of the Cryptoquote Archives from the Arkansas Gazette which publishes the National Puzzle.
I figure, if we can solve these, then we’re good.
Going to South Bend, IN this weekend to visit an RV factory in Elkhart. Might not get to posting the puzzle real early, but we’ll see.
Would be a lot easier for me if we had OUR OWN TOPIC LISTED TO PICK FROM, YOU KNOW like “Word of the Day” etc.
Does anyone out there have some pull with Jim? lol

Ms-spelled backwards.
So, I need to post these before you go to work? What time 4am?
LoL, no worries. Post at your pleasure :)
