Clare Bronfman and her sister Sarah are invitation-only members of the Clinton Global Initiative and Clinton Foundation.
They and Keith Raniere (cult leader) were high-profile at fund raising events for Hillary.
Raniere got busted on a multi-level marketing scam in Arkansas back when slick willie was governor. Raniere got an extremely favorable settlement with the Arkansas AG under Clinton and moved his operation to upstate NY.
Raniere and other cult members bounced around in political circles with people like Clintons, Cuomos, Schumer. Kirsten Gillibrand’s father actually worked for NXIVM for a short time, and recruited Kirsten’s step-mother and brother into the cult. Kirsten says she had NO IDEA until she read about it last year in the paper.
Nevermind that NXIVM raised money for Gillibrand also.

There was some hope and even expectation that this was going to lead to a larger story, with many more people being indicted. Up to this point that doesn't seem to be happening.
