What parent can’t feed their kid(s) in America? What are they using all the FREE $ available in America for?
Free stuff, just for the asking? What could possibly go wrong?

You are so correct. I worked in a grocery store for several years and it was a lot stricter. could only have unattached 1 dollar food stamps. Change was written down on a piece of paper and you had to “cash” them in on food. With the EBT cards, who knows if you are using foodstamps or not.
He’s one of the once-rare far leftists in country. He even had a song lauding Obama’s election, which he admitted had to be subtly stated to avoid driving away the then-typical country audience.
Hope he’s got a clear-cut procedure to determine who is needy and who is not. The government never seemed to be able to do that.

I can’t feed my children, but what I really feel bad about is that I cannot scan items and hear a “beep!” at the register. If only I could hear that “beep!”, everything would be all better for my children!
I don’t have a problem with his philanthropy as long as its not using public funds.
But I suspect we will read more about this after he determines that there is a problem with those not truly needy taking advantage of the free stuff.
This’ll work as well as the “Panera Cares” stores did, once the bums and freeloaders get its address. Perfect example of how to take a large amount of money, and turn it into a small amount of money.
Good recipe to go broke. They will be overrun by all types when the word free stuff gets out there.

This will fail. If it is such a good idea, why aren’t all stores “free”?
Why not give away things free? Why not give a guaranteed basic income to all? Why not free college?
Because you have to have people working productively to produce the goods and money. Those people aren’t eligible for the “free” things. They are stupid to keep working to produce things that are given to those who don’t work. Keep it up, and no one is working and everyone is grabbing free things.
This will fail as all liberal ideas do.

I am reminded of something my grandfather said - “Good thing food costs money ‘cause otherwise, we would have too many fat people.”
