I think in his statements there is always something that scratches your head. He does not know how to make statements without confusion. I take it that he is not intellectually sharp, compared to John Paul II and Benedict

...Today is the feast day of the little known early martyrs Agape, Chionia and Irene who were executed during the great persecution under Diocletian. Their story, as told in this ancient transcript, deserves to be better known.

Please don’t throw Jesus out with the bath water.

What an arrogant statement.

There’s also the commandments to believing wives of unbelievers to be silent and lead by example. 1 Peter 3:1–6

There is no commandment by Peter in those verses for the wives of unbelieving husbands not to present the Gospel to their husbands verbally. Peter says that the husbands can be converted by nothing more than the behavior of the wives but he doesn't tell the wives not to preach the Gospel to them. Peter could be suggesting that their conduct may be as persuasive as their words but the two are obviously not mutually exclusive.

Five hundred years ago, Martin Luther was correct when he called the papacy anti-Christ.

No one stands between us and our Father in Heaven. Jesus same to save us from our sin and to remove EVERY barrier between us and our Father in Heaven.

A "pope" is an artificial, man-made barrier that doesn't need to be there. I was born and raised Catholic. Saw the light in 1992 and left Catholicism. It's a corrupt church, led by a corrupt man, with a corrupt bureaucracy that serves no other purpose than to separate man from Jesus Christ to profit itself.

That's how I see it and I wish my catholic (small c on purpose) friends would WAKE UP!

"The head of the Catholic church [Francis the talking mule] blasted the rise of populism in Western countries, claiming the movement gains followers by stoking fear in the same way as the Nazis did in the 1930s."

Now rational concern, has been characterized as irrational "Fear." Maybe a few planes into St. Peter's Basilica would put rational concern into his head.

I wonder how Francis the talking mule distorts the word of Christ?

And meanwhile, there is a Catholic presence in India that traces its roots back to the apostle St. Thomas ... so it’s not like God was telling Paul that NOBODY should be spreading the Gospel in Asia.
