3% additional spending tips the scales in our favor? I find it hard to believe that such a little bit at the margin could have such a decisive impact.

I don’t buy it, I think someone just wants more money.

Does RAND have functions other than seeking perpetual war and perpetual military funding increases? In other words, does RAND have a conflict of interest, in seeking to show the that US would lose conflicts, so as to incentivize increased funding?

The only people who want America to be in chronic conflict with Russia and China are the globalists. Peace and cooperation with the world’s determined nations only reinforces nationalism and thwarts the dream of world government.

As CiC, I believe that Trump could potentially win a war.

With anyone else from our “two parties” as CiC, no. Our politicians are worthless, and none of them are leaders.

Did the simulator take into account trannies and pregnant women in combat roles?

I wonder if the study took into account the forces of our allies. Here we see a German armored car on the move. Because of cutbacks, the "machine gun" is actually a painted broomstick (not kidding).

One, it is well known that the armed forces have problems with worn out equipment, so anything that can be done to make sure our warriors have the basics for fighting is a good thing. Two, would Russia or China want to win a conventional war with America? Between the proverbial gun behind every blade of grass and the inner city gangs, they couldn’t keep the US secure from across an ocean if they tried.

It seems the simulation assumes nukes won’t be used. Using nukes against key enemy military targets is likely a key part of our counter attack strategy and bolsters the capabilities of our conventional forces.

Rand = Total Hogwash. They somehow know that spending $750 billion annually just isn’t enough, but $774 Billion would be? This study implies massive waste in US defense spending, if the US can’t beat countries that spend a tiny percentage of what we do. Either fix the gaps by repurposing 3% out of the vast amount of waste and theft, or cut the defense budget by 80% if we are going to lose anyway. We can go back to triumphing over Grenada.

"If the United States had to fight Russia in a Baltic contingency or China in a war over Taiwan, Americans could face a decisive military defeat,' the Commission said in a November report...Work also warned that US military bases across Europe and the Pacific are not equipped to handle the fire they would face in a high-end conflict.

The scenarios also seem to assume first strike by China or Russia

Where is Russia getting the money to fight this imagined war? How about China? Are they cashing in their bonds?

Has RAND’s “simulator” been “hacked” by the Chinese? Or the Russians?

If I’m not mistaken I believe Rand Corp also instructed China on how to improve their missile launch systems so they wouldn’t blow up on the pad, while Bubba was in office.
