Good that he called to have them removed, instead of trying to catch them himself.

Texans are traditionally rather understated.

“Got me a lil’ spread” can mean “I got 60,000 acres o’ gay-ss’ wells.”

By Texas standards, well, that’s a few. If he had 5000, we’d be impressed.

Had to look that up. Albany is about 3 hours west of Dallas.

I’ll bet his neighbors have a couple snakes as well.

Seymour,TX, and Waurika, Oklahoma, both within an hours’ drive of there have rattlesnake hunts to decrease the numbers of the critters. Some of those places have so many rattlesnakes that just hiking through the pastures is a dangerous task.

Sure that seems like a whole lot, but I bet he didn’t have any rat, raccoon, gopher, stray cats, etc... type issues either!

Just sayin’....

I used to deer hunt near Abilene TX. You could go to certain portions of the old house we stayed in and stomp on the floor and the rattlesnakes would start buzzing.

The big ones ended up getting cooked for dinner over a campfire.

Rattlesnake is kind of tasty isn’t it?

Tastes bland like chicken with a bit of a shrimp/lobster texture, I am told, does anyone here know?

Makes sense. Probably like roaches, for each one you see, there are 10 more hiding.
