Fox News, Broadcast and Sports were spun off as a separate corporation (FOX) and started trading on NASDAQ this week. Down about 3% on first day.
(Disney bought all of 21 Century Fox’s libraries / production for $71 billion to expand their on line movie/ series products, among other synergies. The broadcast business not part of the deal, hence this new FOX entity.)
New tickers: FOXA (A class shares) and FOX (B class).
But, agree - as a new entity solely relying on TV assets, may take a less conservative approach; while on paper Murdoch is still calling the shots, people like Paul Ryan - that arch-conservative (/sarc) was just added to the new Board. Enough said.

Disney is going to scotch Disney + as a separate service. It now owns 60% of Hulu.
It can now leverage Disney content through Hulu. Why reinvent the wheel?

Ever since Rupert gave up leadership to his far left sons, and the passing of Roger Ailes, Faux Snooze has gone decidedly leftward! They are now aspiring to be just like CNNPMSNBC and viewership will, IMHO, drop! I know I watch less and less and less of Faux Snooze. I can’t be alone!

Lachlan Murdoch - One of Rupert’s sons, is now on the board of Fox, and he started running DowJones/Wall Street Journal, some years ago, after Newscorp (dad’s company) bought it, and has been dragging Wall Street Journal leftward ever since.
