"Nature Boy" Kirby, one of pro wrestling's greatest heels from the 1960s to the early 1980s, known for his great physique, blond hair, and handlebar mustache or beard, died on Monday, March 18. He was 79 years old.
During his career, he took on every world champion from Pat O'Connor on up. He made his mark in territories like Georgia, Florida, Oregon, Minnesota, and Kansas City.

Yes. Over the years there have been several wrestlers who took the “Nature Boy” moniker.
Shooting tons of steroids probably doesn’t make for a very long life.

I would say they probably partied hard too but rock n roll folks party like nobody’s business and the stones and aerosmith and Zep guys are moving right along

79 is a pretty good run for a former pro wrestler.
He stopped in his 40’s and may have stayed away from steroids. I never heard of him. Pro boxing and wrestling are similar to other areas of entertainment, in that your fame often depends on the way you are managed. If you are not promoted properly, or if that part of the country is saturated with similar performers, you tend to get overlooked.
Yes, he was. He would have been the first to loudly tell you.
He had a bigger than life stage presence. Still around at age 70.
Considering how they abuse their bodies they are living to a fairly normal age.
