PADUCAH, Ky. (Video from WPSD) A waitress took action after noticing a family behaving strangely, saving the children from their allegedly abusive parents.
Jordan Cooper told WPSD she works weekends at Olive Garden, but cares for her children during the week.
Recently, she and her co-workers noticed something odd about a family they seated. She was serving a table with two parents and two children. One of the children was only a year old.
"When I walked around to the baby, she looked at me with a face that said, 'Help,' like beat up...like I can't even describe to you how bad she looked," she said.
Cooper told Yahoo Lifestyle that the baby had "a lot of black-and-blue bruises," and that she saw the man "shoving" breadsticks into the child's mouth.
He said, "'Youd better eat this and got in her face while she whimpered."
Cooper took a photo with another table, so that she could capture the parents and two children in the background.
When the family left, Cooper took down their car's license plate number and called 911.
She posted on Facebook, (snip) Her post was shared more than 14,000 times.
A friend of Cooper's, a 911 operator, did some digging and identified the parents.
The same evening, Mark Lee Pierce, 33, and Jessica Woodworth, 36, of Paris, Tennessee, were arrested on charges of child abuse and aggravated assault. Two children were removed from the home.
I heard the conditions of the home were so horrific, a police officer had to collect himself outside, Cooper said.
The mother and waitress is happy she decided to take action.
I couldnt sleep that night, I was so worried, she said. It makes me feel good to know these children will be better off.

she’s that childs angel. Those parents should be hung!
If these kids were in danger and being abused, I am so glad they were rescued.
But WTH did she post the picture to FB??
People may be guilty as all get out.
Let’s hope no one posts our faces on FB one day and accuses us of a crime.
Genetic misfires.
hanged
Posted it on Facebook....?
Because her generation has been programmed that all the answers are on Facebook....its just what they do!
People are fearful. And a little bit stupid. But maybe posting to FB is better than doing nothing at all.
I once had someone tell me they thought a friend might have been having a stroke several hours earlier. But the person was afraid to call and make a fuss and afraid to be wrong. (I called the cops from 1000 miles away to have them check. The “victim” was fine. I’m not afraid to take action. I’d rather check and be wrong.)
Seems kinda dangerous no?
I wasn’t there so I don’t know what the kids looked like.
Like I said thank God if the kids were abused.
But you can get people KILLED by posting them on facebook and saying they did something horrible.
I would figure it was some kind of crime to do that.
But again, WHY?!?!!??
Is someone gonna make a facebook arrest?
SMH
Awaiting for all the posts bad mouthing CPS.
The waitress should have just gone to CPS because now the parents know who is responsible for their problems and might retaliate.
she better get a gun or bear spray
I thought their first crime was eating at “Olive Garden”.
Posted it on Facebook.
They’ll walk because of that
I was just thinking the same thing. That waitress has now put herself and her kids in danger.
A man who would physically abuse his own one year old child won't think twice about seeking revenge against this woman.
