She is a direct descendant of the last Habsburg Emperor Charles I. Franz-Joseph would be rolling in his grave seeing a Hapsburg Archduchess marrying a commoner.

Looks like Super G Girl . . .

A commoner that is probably wealthier than her family. If the choice is what Prince Charles ended up with or going commoner, give me commoner any day.

Right. Franz-Joseph was utterly opposed to Franz Ferdinand's marriage to a Czech woman from the minor nobility--not a suitable match for a Habsburg!

Kaiser Karl died in 1922. His widow, the Empress Zita, outlived him by 67 years and died in 1989.

She doesn’t have the Hapsburg jaw, somebody needs to do a DNA test.

I think the law was that they had to marry a member of a sovereign, or a formerly sovereign, house, or their children could not succeed to the throne.

Ordinary nobles weren't good enough.

See the section about Archduke Ferdinand's (of assassination fame) marriage in this Wikipedia article

Uncontrollable grave-rolling is a common side effective of excessive inbreeding.

The nobility willingly signed away their authority to rule a long time ago. Aristocracies are like Democracies in one sense. The must be periodically watered by the blood of their adherents. The “aristocrats” of today are almost exclusively effete snobs.

Restoring the Austrian Empire is a necessity to stabilize Europe.

When will the memory of Woodrow Wilson be called to account for all of his crimes?

An ultra rich archduchess and a famous race car driver who is equally rich, really don’t impress me. What would impress me is if they spent a year on a farm in the midwest just to see what life is like for “real” people........
