Banned by Breitbart?
4 MAR 2019 | Manhunter

Just curious as to how many people on FR have been banned by Breitbart. I've listened to their morning radio show on Patriot for years, but only visited their site maybe twice a week on average and commented even less frequently. I went to their web site this morning and found out that I'm banned and ALL of my posts ever were removed from their site.

I initially thought I was banned for flaming a liberal troll (they have a LOT of them) or for questioning Obama's sexuality and "Michelle's" real gender, but it appears that I was banned for criticizing their Editor in Chief, Alex Marlowe (”Mr. Dr. Marlowe”, who reminds listeners frequently of the fact that his wife is a doctor) and Breitbart’s decision to part ways with Raheem Kassam, who was the best host they’ve ever had. I believe I also made mention of the fact that his "LA roots were showing".

It’s kind of ironic that Marlowe has criticized Twitter, Google, Facebook, etc., for banning conservatives and refers to them as the “Masters of the Universe” while he and what was Andrew Breitbart’s network are doing the same thing.

I post there occasionally using DISQUS. About the last year maybe, sometimes it says I’ve been banned and a week later it works fine. It may be caused by the VPN service I now use, but I’m only guessing.

I agree, Marlowe is awful. He’s a friend of Ann Coulter and proud of it, which is not a good sign these days. If there was a drinking game at 5 AM central time and the game said take a drink at Marlowe’s negativity about the wall, you’d be drunk by 6 AM every day.

The evening hosts are fine and there is much more real information on their shows.

Folks don’t like to be pissed on.

I never did so, to my knowledge. Unless that homosexual conservative there took offense to my statement "HOMOSEXUAL, because there's nothing GAY about it". I said that in a lot of places, maybe there.

Me too. I have often wondered if they accidentally banned me.

Can’t say that I disagree with you regarding vanity, although I’m sure we all have some degree of it. In this case, I was just wondering if and why FReepers have been banned on Breitbart.

Carrying on...

Disqus does the banning. It could be some low paid guy in Nigeria that banned you.

“Be careful if you read anything bonemaker posts on here ...protect your tender ears madame.”

My beef is deriding people or expressing anger through use of dirty words.

A confession: I’m a guy. I didn’t know anything about ‘cymbeline’ when I chose that name.

All are or none are, and I don't care.

I've just never understood this community's hang-up with 'vanities'.

For me, I don’t like clicking on a headline only to find out the article is useless prattling over issues of no importance to anyone but the author. If FReepers cannot forego the luxury of an unexpressed thought, the comment sections should be the go-to.

“My beef is deriding people or expressing anger through use of dirty words,”

That’s precisely why those words were invented!

PS sorry about the madame thing.

You can set FR to display the headlines accompanied by the first fifty words or so of the article. That's how I have mine set, which gives me the ability to quickly see whether I'm interested in the content.

Saves me a lot of wasted clicks.

I do the same. A few vanities a day aren’t too bad, but the forum has been flooded with them to the extent new members jump right in with vanities under the impression they’re welcome.

And you know what? The fact that the moderators allow it says the are indeed welcome.
