Okay, I know it's wrong, but it doesn't rile me up the way issues such as, oh, say, post-term abortion and illegal voting do — I guess because the most qualified students are frequently denied admission in favor of students in select social categories. I guess if admissions wasn't so subjective already, this would bother me more. This is just yet one more way some quality kid misses the boat.
I suppose it's really an affront to the social-justice efforts of the college admissions office. I guess these parents don't have enough money to donate a library or chem building to get their kids in, the way old mega-money used to.
