Agreed. However, I have not given up yet. I think we are turning a corner, but this Battleship of State doesn’t turn corners very fast. He is working so hard to save the lives of the people who have been captured by the traffickers. And he has so clearly expressed his concern and love for babies knocking on the portals of birth. I’m not sure about Vets who spent some time but haven’t retired.
Anyone who is a retired military member can be recalled to active duty and tried for crimes. This is the only exception I know of from double jeopardy. That is, they can be convicted in civilian criminal court AND be convicted by a military court martial.
I don’t know of any examples of this, but it is legally possible from what I understand.
