CHICAGO Ever since he was a child actor growing up in a show-business family, Jussie Smolletts life blended activism with the make-believe worlds of television and movies. ..."
He spoke of his mothers closeness with the Black Panthers and prominent civil-rights leaders, and how she had encouraged Mr. Smollett and his brothers and sisters to create art and live out their beliefs. ..."
For Mr. Smollett, arts and activism were intertwined throughout his childhood.
His parents met while campaigning for civil rights in the Bay Area of California, and his mother had worked with the founders of the Black Panthers and prominent civil-rights leaders, according to a New York Times interview with Mr. Smollett in 2016.
Between child-acting gigs and press junkets that the six siblings did for their 1994 ABC sitcom, their mother, Janet Smollett, made sure the children played sports and read about figures like Malcolm X and Langston Hughes, she told The Los Angeles Times in 1994. (His family did not respond to phone or email messages.)
I know their mother, Janet, has always taught them to stand up for themselves, and for what they believe, Mr. Harris said.

Neither has Jussie's radical mother (pictured), "dear friend" to Angela Davis...
I’ve never understood the cult following of Angela Davis.
Not upended. He is a hero to the Left for trying. Like Kathy Griffin he is on hold until all the noise subsides then his career will be back on track, probably at a higher level.
From what I’ve seen of my fellow whites, there is no stomach to fight black/brown militancy. Sad but true.
Took a few "zoom-ins"...
"Huey" is one of the founders of the cop-killing, revolutionary communist, Black Panthers.
And "Angela", well, you know, read her bio above.
Communist movement is alive and well. Had one of their own in the White House for 8 years.
Oh noes! “a Life of Being a Little-Known Supporting Actor on a Cheesy Television Show” RUINED!
The Times building is draped in black.
I hear you.
Bayard Rustin and Stokely Carmichael
In the past the MSM and the left have been able to maintain 'the narrative' but the Jussie case could change everything.
No longer could the left or the MSM jump to the conclusion an alleged hate crime is real.
The media has always giving 'hate crimes' the benefit of the doubt and that will no longer be true.
Any future reported alleged 'hate crime' will now come with questions and demands of proof.
Had one of their own in the White House for 8 years.

In violation of the Constitution.
With the support of both parties.
Thank you for posting this. This would be better served in News, not Chat.
He checks off on four democRATic identity boxes...black, gay, celebrity, anti-Trump. The only way to have more boxes checked would be if he was a muslim and/or a woman.
This will not ruin his career, only enhance it among Trump-hating liberals.
He'll probably garner a big defense fund from the Left to pay his lawyers and legal fees and fines. Maybe even a Go-Fund me account to pad his finances.
And he'll probably get some risky-dink community service requirement, if he's even found guilty.
But otherwise, this stupid incident will make him more famous and liked with the Left in this country.
Angry that he was only making a paltry 1 million dollars in his acting gig, he decided to LIE and COMMIT FRAUD in a quest to drum up white hatred.
The man is a saint. :)
Now that her little Jussie is unemployed, mom’s going to have to go back on food stamps and TANF.
"Across Chicago, the whipsawing anger was still raw for observers who watched Mr. Smollett walk silently out of court this week and disappear into a dark-windowed SUV."

First of all he didn't just disappear into the SUV. He ran into the SUV like a scared little RAT!
And all you arrogant "lefty loons" can shove your "whipsawing anger" right up your sanctimonious butts.
There are over 60 million Americans who don't feel your pain over this disgusting hoax.
MAYBE YOU SHOULD PUT SOME ICE ON THAT.
meanwhile, BBC is busy promoting the following, which was just aired on taxpayer-funded ABC in Australia as well:
AUDIO: 26:29 17 Feb: BBC: Heart and Soul: The Right Thing
Making friends with the KKK
Daryl Davis collects Ku Klux Klan memorabilia KKK robes, hoods and masks. He says they are given to him by those leaving the white supremacist organisation, after he has spent time befriending them and persuading them to change their views. Heart and Soul hears from Daryl about what drives him, his Christian faith and concerns about racial division within the church, and from Scott Shepherd, one of those he helped to leave the KKK.
Mike Wooldridge asks if Daryl is doing the right thing. His critics complain that his testifying in court in defence of violent extremists is a step too far, and that he would be better joining with others in calling for political change...

Wooldridge speaks to “academic”(?), ex-SPLC veteran, Mark Potok, who might have given BBC the idea for the program!

He has been featured in more than 20 major documentaries on various aspects of the radical right...He has been cited in dozens of scholarly books on the American radical right...
THIS IS HOW THE FAKENEWSMSM CONTINUES TO CONTROL THE RACISM NARRATIVE.
