Try putting < p> before and after the image tag.

When the post detects HTML, it treats your entire post as HTML. In other words, you need to put <br> when you want a carriage return in your text. Like so:

This is a sentence.<br>
And now this is another paragraph.<br>
And here is your image: <img src="blah" />

When you post the HTML language to embed the image, the text box expects everything else to be HTML so there will be no paragraphs rendered without a para code. If I’m working with an image, I use my HTML editor to create the post. Then I take the HTML code my editor generates, and paste it into the text box. If you’re interested in using an editor, which is pretty neat, FReepmail me.

Maybe a few more incoherent vanity threads will help.

Like others pointed out, if there is any HTML at all in a post then the entire post is expected to be in HTML. Your nice manually formatted lines and paragraphs will lose their nice manual formatting if you’ve used any HTML elsewhere, even for an image. The answer, though bothersome, if you want to include an image, is to be sure to use HTML to format your lines and paragraphs too.

Your html suxs.

Try using

<
p
>

when you want a white space between on paragraph and the next

keep you paragraphs short, else it becomes hard to read on screen.
also use

<
br
>

to place one line directly above another (a sub header) - example

TOFU For Breakfast
This morning’s TOFU was mom’s recipe ... etc

When using images:

use the p here
This is a picture of me at 5 (use the br)
image html here

I keep an old copy of the SeaMonkey browser suite around just to set up the code for putting a picture in a post.
