When the post detects HTML, it treats your entire post as HTML. In other words, you need to put <br> when you want a carriage return in your text. Like so:

This is a sentence.<br>
And now this is another paragraph.<br>
And here is your image: <img src="blah" />

Also, putting a double <br><br> will give you a space between your paragraphs, ie:

Sentence.<br><br>

Next paragraph.<br><br>

It has no problem wrapping it correctly until I add an image or GIF. Then it ll changes...
