AUSTIN, Texas - A Texas boy is making headlines after he decided to sell hot chocolate to help fund President Donald Trump's proposed wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.

According to KXAN, Jennifer Stevens, of Austin, said her 7-year-old son, Benton, wanted to learn more about the wall after watching the State of the Union earlier this month. He came up with the idea to raise money after his parents, who are both Republican National Convention members, explained the issue.

With his family's help, Benton put together his hot cocoa stand and set up shop outside an Austin shopping center last weekend.

"Hot chocolate, $2," read signs outside the stand. "Proceeds help Trump build the wall."

He also offered free "Beto marshmallows" and 50-cent "Pelosi marshmallows" – named for former U.S. Rep. Beto O'Rourke, D-Texas, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-California, respectively.

This sounds like a story that the human rocks on Fox weekend news will cover (in between the Coleman tent segment and the salute to the veterans)

Parents are at least. This story reminds me of the 11-year old who refused the pledge. The kid is doing the hot chocolate due to his parents and they thought a 7-year old would garner attention. It worked. Not thrilled with parents using their kids.

Wouldn’t be shocked if some Demo goon splashed the hot chocolate into the child’s face and then defended him/herself by claiming they were triggered.

Watch the subversive totalitarians try to shut this down because of phony “health inspection” concerns. They’ve crushed evil little kids with lemonade stands for not having a permit—this won’t be any different.

Another wonderful reason why America’s future is not bleak. You hear about snowflakes, but not about kids who are conservatives...

They are already calling him “Little Hitler”. His parents should know better than to bring a little kid into politics. They should also know not to do this in uber liberal Austin, TX. Frankly, he is lucky not to be physically attacked and their house burned to the ground. There are some seriously dangerous wackadoodles in Austin.

I hope that kid is homeschooled, because otherwise his life is about to become an absolute living hell.

Are you suggesting 7 year old children are incapable of good initiatives on their own? I was 5 when I asked my mother to make her delicious taffy to send to our soldiers in Europe. She said yes and all my friends came to help “pull” the taffy, cut it into little bits and wrap it in waxed paper so it could be sent overseas. Lots of kids came up with ideas during WWII. We may have needed our parents help but we weren’t stupid.

“We may have needed our parents help but we weren’t stupid.”

I was a Junior Commando in our Boston neighborhood during WWII——we kids organized it on our own.

We collected things like metal, tin foil, rubber, etc.and dropped it off at a local collection point.
