The lawyer for former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick said in an interview Saturday that his client still wants to play in the NFL, and predicted that the Carolina Panthers and New England Patriots are likely two teams with interest.
Mark Geragos, the attorney, told CNN that he believes in the next few weeks “somebody is going to step up and do the right thing.”
He said that the Panthers and the Patriots could make a play for the quarterback.
"It would not surprise me is Bob Kraft [the owner of the Patriots] makes a move," he said.
Kaepernick, who hasn’t played a down of football since the 2016 season, accused NFL owners of colluding with each other to keep him out of the league over his protest during the national anthem.

I hadn’t seen what he looked like outside of the silhouette t-shirts with the big hair since I abandoned NFL years ago. I’m surprised he’s embraced by the black community.
The reality is he won and lost his starting position with the 49ers while in their employ. They missed three years with him on board. He’s just not that good. That’s why no one is trying to sign him. I cynically suggest the controversy is about him seeking notoriety and relevance in light of his poor career performance and not about civil activism.
Why would the hottest team in pro football sign a mediocre quarterback?

Adopted by a loving, supportive white family, college QB, promoted to starting NFL QB, played in a Superbowl, made tons of money and yet he disses the national anthem with his kneeling for the oppressed peoples in America. We could kneel at the National anthem in protest against all the traitorous scum in DC but we honor it, the flag and all those who gave their lives in America’s defense plus our great founders and constitution. Democrats make their money suing people.His attorney will find another victim for him to sue. Keep him off airliners plz those prices are climbing again.
Unlike Tom Brady (41) Kaepernick has been out of football for years and his skills have likely declined.
Why would any team consider signing him when there are new prospects every year?
