Police at Towson University near Baltimore are warning people on campus about a woman who is approaching students, apparently looking for a date for her son.
The Baltimore Sun said the woman, whose name was not released, visited Cook Library and the Center for the Arts, and showed students a photo of her son on her cellphone, asking if they would be interested in dating him.
It happened on Feb. 6 and 7, WBAL reported.

Believable. I had a good friend who was 5'10" which isn't really that tall but she was really self conscious about it. She only wanted to date guys taller than her. You had to be minimum 6' or taller. Seemed odd to me but when I think about it I suppose I'd feel awkward on a date with a girl who was 6'3" given I'm 6 feet.
By the way, she married a guy who was no taller than her, maybe even a little shorter. No rules in love and war, I suppose.
I have this woman pegged as an Asian Tiger Mom gone a bit over the top. She’s done nothing illegal but she is being weird.

Moms need to stay out of it. The couple of girls my Mother decided were good matches turned out to be total poison. . . the girl I actually married was only part poison. . . seemed like a good deal and the thing to do at the time.
We did stay married 19 years. For the most part, they were good years.
They can make you cower in a corner with just one eyeball........................

Well, she does appear to be Asian from the photo. My guess is that is that she is likely a foreign-born, helicopter parent who micromanages her son’s life. Lately, Sonny has been sad, depressed because of his lack of girlfriend, and Mom has set out to take the situation into her own hands. What could go wrong?
That’s OK. When my parents went to drop me off at my undergrad college, my mother spotted a long haired unkempt looking typical college student walking down the campus sidewalk. Imagine how I felt when she leaned out the car window and screamed at the student, “Drug fiend! Drug fiend!” I yanked her back into the car and told her what she did could be dangerous. That shut her up. I was mortified. Fortunately, there were 51,000 students on campus, so I never saw that guy again.

Maybe she’s 1st generation immigrant and wants to make life like in the ‘old country’, where arranged marriages are the norm..................

He should withdraw from that place and enter another university where his mom can’t find him......................
That Mom wants some grandchildren and she wants them NOW.
