She once told me that her mother had gotten into a minor traffic accident, and since the other party was a very tall, rather young man she asked if he’d like to meet her daughter.

Believable. I had a good friend who was 5'10" which isn't really that tall but she was really self conscious about it. She only wanted to date guys taller than her. You had to be minimum 6' or taller. Seemed odd to me but when I think about it I suppose I'd feel awkward on a date with a girl who was 6'3" given I'm 6 feet.

By the way, she married a guy who was no taller than her, maybe even a little shorter. No rules in love and war, I suppose.

I am 5’10”. In my early 20s I dated a girl who was 6’4” for a cpl of years. There are benefits.

When you are toe to toe your nose is in it. When nose to nose your toes is in it. ;-)

She hated that joke.

Some guys can pull it off. She was shy. I am not...

I am 5’10”. I’ve never been picky. Not about height. I even dragged my short cousin to the prom with me. At least he was cute and made me look good (one friend couldn’t stand it and stole him away when I went to the RR).

As it is my DH is just 2” taller, but at that height I can’t tell.
