Originally was a problem with the homeless population, but the problem is complicated by mounds of food and trash found in downtown which attracts rats and fleas.
Typhus carried by rats as vectors of fleas, although feral cats and other mammals can carry the fleas.
The typhus epidemic is only getting worse, and is expanding outside of downtown.
124 people have been confirmed as having typhus in LA;
this number includes residents and visitors.
80% of those infected are residents outside downtown.

Wait till we have a revisit of the black plague Perhaps people will learn to pray and fast again.
All I can remember is after the 47,382 shots they gave us that day, I slumped against the wall and was admitted to the post hospital for three or four days. A few of those days I have no memory of...I was out of it. Never did find out what it was they gave us... in boot camp
Can the Black Plague be far behind?
When I was a kid back in the Sixties, we were vaccinated for Bubonic Plague, and that was the worst vaccination I have ever had in my life and all my sibling still agree. We were so sick my mom put all six of us into a room, pulled the shades, and kept us there for a day or two IIRC.
Arm was so sore and red for a week or two, that being punched in the arm was enough to make your knees buckle.
They’ve finally achieved third-world status.
Do these enormous city hall rats have two legs or four?
From wikipedia:
“Due to fear of an outbreak of epidemic typhus, the US Government put a typhus quarantine in place in 1917 across the entirety of the US-Mexican border.”
Maybe we should do that again...
That LA ABC outlet carefully crafted news flash by using terms like “visitors” and “outside residents” carefully avoids referencing the impact of their “sanctuary city” policy.
Only in L.A.
What a pit!!!
I grew up in CA and moved away 20 years ago. When I visit now the most shocking thing is these huge homeless encampments I see on the streets. Some of them go on for block after block. Just insane.

Maybe those fleas and rats are “endangered”? We should take them into our car and breed them. Is is only fair. Who are we to judge?
Texas had 519 cases last year.
“I always thought it would be the cesspool formerly known as San Francisco would be the first in California for an outbreak of bums-illegals typhus-carrying havoc (B.I.T.C.H.) disease.”
We need to redirect some of the Typhus-carrying bums in SF out to Pacific Heights and Seacliff. with instructions to take repeated dumps in front of Pelosi’s and Fineswine’s homes. And spread around a few handfuls of used syringes as well.
You do know that picture is of people camping out to get tickets for a movie premiere, right?
The correct answer is : Yes, and Yes !
This typhus issue has been a discussed Freeper disease issue since 2012
and yet it remains unresolved.
Any coincidence to the previous administrations and this medical issue is purely INTENTIONAL
History repeats itself.
I think that is why liberal politics wants to eliminate, or at least re-write, American history.
We controlled disease and pestilence in the homeland by the use of Ellis Island.
Notice, we no longer have an Ellis Island holding facility, where people can be socially, medically or politically evaluated,
and that the Globalists stated that they want the population decimated, or reduced.
Could this be the harbinger of things yet to come ?
