Full Title:
Gillette dresses women in skin tight clothing with corporate logo spread across their asses, then lectures men about toxic masculinity
=====================================================================
A new advertisement from Gillette promoting the #MeToo movement has proven once again that corporations will say just about anything if they think it will boost sales. The ad infers that all men are sexist abusers, guilty of harassment and bullying.
Unsurprisingly, a majority of people have taken issue with the ad for a number of reasons. In addition to the fact that this ad is a dumpster fire of left-wing, anti-male rhetoric, it is unbelievably hypocritical of Gillette to lecture American men on sexism.
For decades, Gillette has promoted an alpha male image for their product and who could forget the Gillette girls, dressed in skin-tight blue vinyl jumpsuits with the companys name emblazoned across their butts?
When this long hair fad is over there is going to be bales
of hair around from plaiting, etc.
That’s pretty much what all the comments at the Youtube video of the commercial say.
Except for a few soy boys and hired agitators. Very few, indeed.
I'm sure they also accepted a not-insignificant check for their willing oppression.
Wow! This is so upsetting I need to get my safety pins and diapers and hide in a safe space.
Schick has always been my blade of choice. They’re better and cheaper than Gillette.
Yep, been using Dorco for the past few years. Good, fast service. Blades are fine. Keep your eyes peeled for offers as you can routinely save 30 or so percent.
MFO
Other brands are cheaper.
Doesn’t make sense. It’s not their butts they shave.
[Doesnt make sense]
I know, I was confused, too.
It’s almost as if Gillette placed their name in a rather conspicuous place totally unrelated to shaving a man’s face.
As a guy, I’ve shaved my face plenty of times.
I’m sure Gillette wouldn’t be exploiting women to sell product. Because, like, Gillette is above all that.
Dollar Shave Club got a lot of new members.
The models won’t bring your customers back.
I converted to a double-edge razor/soap/brush a few years ago. It was a good move.
They should all be doing that. In every single ad.
You mean the old "safety" razors? Those were the first type of razor I started with back in the 70's, and I found them to be very harsh. When Gilette introduced Trac 2 it was revolutionary for me. I like my blades bonded in a plastic head, and I love Edge shaving gel. I've tried mug and brush, but the foam bubble structure was never very tight. I am now using the Dorco 6-blade cartridge with a vibrating handle. Shaves very close; no cuts or scrapes.
RACIST Company, all are White!
With a possible exception of the one, front row 3rd from right side.
(Cannot see face or hands.)
Now wait a minute, not so fast!
I’ve used Schick for years, but if they had come out with that ad campaign I would have dropped them in a second. I hope this hurts them badly.
Yes. The reason why a cart (cartridge) razor works so well if that it doesn’t shave very close. A “safety razor” shaves very close. You just have to know how to use one and change blades often. I change the blade about every 3 shaves.
I use a puck of Williams soap with a badger brush and an Israeli razor blade. I don’t cut myself.
I think this is her on the right.................
“Husqvarna” ‘Cause we all know that the Swedes are so much less politically correct than Gillette....
