Never forget...
Once you start smelling yourself, others have been smelling you for days.
I have an olfactory problem and can’t smell for the most part.
Just because I can’t smell, does that mean I won’t or don’t smell?
Looks like I gotta dig out my old sarc tag, darn it.
Sure do:

I've noticed at the gym that bad odor tends to come from folks re-wearing unwashed clothing.
Now yer talkin!
Ha ha. In other words, you don’t. This particular article has never been posted. Different source, different title, slightly different content - doesn’t count as a duplicate.
When I was in the Army, I helped give a couple of guys “G.I. showers,” not fun for the guy on the receiving end. One time someone used a wire-bristle brush on the stinker... There was blood involved. Cured both guys instantaneously. ‘Course, can’t do that in civilian life. Too bad.
I used to liaison at Sony Pictures and one of the execs I had to deal with had the worst smell ever. It was obvious this clown did not shower for at least a week and he’s a producer. I was sure he could afford soap with the royalty money he makes from his movies and he only took notice when he spoke to me and I made sure the distance was 10 feet...
I had a co-worker from Bahrain of all places who stunk and everyone told him “nicely”...until my Peruvian co-worker told him to his face that he needed to shower PRONTO.
Never had a problem since. Being nice sometimes doesnt cut it...
Let's not get too serious here. My first post was actually made in jest.
Point is, the story has already been flogged to death around here.
Okay, sorry, I know what you mean. FR is all about politics. But man, I’m officially unable to read another article about Mueller or Roger Stone, etc. My loss.
Sorry, I worked with people from there and it seemed to me that BO was considered a badge of honor (among the men, at least...the woman were a little dowdy but otherwise normal). Not bathing, using deodorant or cleaning the inch-thick layer of dandruff off your shoulders appears to have been a point of pride and showed how pious you were.
These people were not discriminated against because they were Jews, but were removed simply because they -or probably he - smelled bad. I dont know how their women stand them.
Some people actually DO like the smell of BO, and they think everyone else should, too. I had a roommate at one time who took a shower faithfully, every week and put clean clothes on. But for some reason he refused to use deodorant. I finally got to the point where I flat out told him he stunk, and that if he didn’t use deodorant, he would be asked to leave.
The first thing one smelled upon walking into my home, was BO. HIS BO. He didn’t care apparently because he never did anything different which in my opinion was a passive aggressive, big giant “FU”.
When he left my home, he left absolutely everything he owned, behind. Eventually, I was forced to toss it all in the trash and clean the room he used. NOTHING got rid of that smell. My only option was to renovate the room which I did. It included peeling off wall paper, repainting the walls and ceilings, and even redoing the hardwood floors...in polyurethane to seal them after massive sanding. Finally, that nasty odor was gone, the room smelled fresh, clean, new.
Among his belongings were 6 brand new containers of deodorant...unopened, never used.
His friends would ask “Does he ever shower?” I’d say...yes. Next question “Does he even use soap when he showers?” I’d say, I don’t know, but he never smells fresh like soap after his shower.” He’d purchased 3 bars of soap when he first moved in, there were 2 boxes left of the three, and one melted bar in the shower. But it was the same bar he initially opened a year before.
I haven’t a clue as to what’s with some folks. Even when you tell them they stink, that they need to use soap and deodorant, they don’t. A bottle of shampoo goes down only an inch ...how disgusting!!!! When you have to redo an entire room to get rid of the stench...it’s like...wow..
I too have know many people from the middle east...Jew and Muslim alike, but to find people who refuse to actually clean themselves is pretty rare. There are mentally disturbed people all over the world who refused water, soap and deodorant.
Some folks stink because they don’t wash their clothing properly. If you have nasty body odor, use a double rinse in the machine, and put either a cup of vinegar in the first rinse, or a half a cup of baking soda. It helps to cut body oder in clothing leaving them fresh. Good for cigarette smokers to remember that one, too.
Unfortunately, vinegar doesn’t deodorize wall paper and wood floors, especially old worn out ones.
This is SUCH an important story. Let’s see if we can’t post it a few more times on FR:

At least it’s been posted in Chat.
re posting your last post on multiple FReep threads ping
As I’ve posted before:
I just came across this thread. I appreciate duplicate threads for those of us that log-on occasionally throughout the day and might miss a thread we were not aware of but find interesting.
And, speaking from experience, a 400-lb German doesn’t bathe reeks horribly. That situation was back in the day I flew on government business and always was in coach class.
After retirement and as a consultant, I have not flown coach since. Only do First Class domestic and Business Class international.
And Indians, too.
