Former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown addressed his past extramarital relationship with U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris in his weekly column Saturday, saying he may have boosted the presidential hopeful's career.
"Yes, we dated. It was more than 20 years ago," Brown wrote in the San Francisco Chronicle.
"Yes, I may have influenced her career by appointing her to two state commissions when I was [California] Assembly speaker. And I certainly helped with her first race for district attorney in San Francisco."
Brown, 84, pointed out that he also helped the careers of other prominent California Democrats, such as U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Gov. Gavin Newsom and U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein.
"The difference is that Harris is the only one who, after I helped her, sent word that I would be indicted if I 'so much as jaywalked' while she was D.A.,” Brown wrote. "That's politics for ya."
Brown appointed Harris -- about 30 years younger than Brown and just a few years out of law school – to two well-paid state commission assignments on the Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board and the California Medical Assistance Commission, the Washington Free Beacon reported.
"Whether you agree or disagree with the system, I did the work," Harris said in a 2003 interview with SF Weekly. "I brought a level of life knowledge and common sense to the jobs."
The former mayor also connected Harris with campaign donors, which helped her outraise her opponent for San Francisco district attorney, Business Insider reported. Brown's involvement in her election raised questions as to how Harris would remain impartial, given his enormous political clout.

Perhaps Little Willie has some photos or tapes of KH to use as a sort of revenge porn. Wouldn’t that be a real pay back?

And he was very corrupt, but no one dared cross him. I observed him up close at City Hall while he was mayor of SF. Elevator would be full of people, the doors would open and he would be standing there with a stern look, and the crowd would part like the Red Sea to let him in. He would just stare at me and the others while the elevator descended. Most people would turn to face the door after entering; he would just stare people down.
He gave high-paid jobs as favors to friends, even though they had no clue about how to do the job, Kamala being no exception. One of his friends would constantly chat with me, asking me if he could get me coffee or answer the phone for me or do errands. I asked him what his job was and he said he didn't know but Willie gave him the job. That guy ended up in prison for corruption. Don't trust Kamala, corrupt as heck.
Willie was quite a stud , apparently . Had many girlfriends of all colors .
Kamala Harris hates America and is a terrible person. But in a contest against President Trump, her marital behavior is going to be a non-factor.
FWIW - I don’t think she’s the Dem’s weakest candidate either. The Philadelphia and Detroit blacks did not turn out for Hillary, they might for Harris.
I think the worst candidate for the Dems might be Bernie Sanders. He’ll get the white lefties, but will excite no one in their Black and Latino base.
Willie Brown, a Texas transplant, is the main reason that California is a one party state. In the 1980’s 1990’s Willie ran the California Legislature, and taking the Texas Democrat method of stealing elections, utilized the force of voter fraud by promoting voting by illegal aliens.
Today the illegal vote provides the margin of victory for the Democrats in every election.
Despite his disclaimer Kamala Harris is of the same mold and no better than he despite her constant reference to “Our American Values.”

Willie is not divorced, he is married to the same woman (Blanche Vitero) since 1958. They have been separated since 1982. Brown also had a child with an aide in 2001. Willie's willie gets around.
Brown & Harris, prima facie evidence of political black privileged.
Upon hearing public confessions such as this, my hard scrabble farmer Uncle Harry would have commented “Some things you just take to the grave.”
