Myth: Hitler was a leftist.
http://www.huppi.com/kangaroo/L-hitler.htm | STEVE KANGAS

Posted on 01/26/2019 2:14:58 PM PST by Pontiac

Summary

Many conservatives accuse Hitler of being a leftist, on the grounds that his party was named "National Socialist."

But socialism requires worker ownership and control of the means of production.

In Nazi Germany, private capitalist individuals owned the means of production, and they in turn were frequently controlled by the Nazi party and state.

True socialism does not advocate such economic dictatorship -- it can only be democratic. Hitler's other political beliefs place him almost always on the far right.

He advocated racism over racial tolerance, eugenics over freedom of reproduction, merit over equality, competition over cooperation, power politics and militarism over pacifism, dictatorship over democracy, capitalism over Marxism, realism over idealism, nationalism over internationalism, exclusiveness over inclusiveness, common sense over theory or science, pragmatism over principle, and even held friendly relations with the Church, even though he was an atheist.

“True socialism”?

Does not and never will exist. Socialism is Totalitarianism, State Control. Never believe any other definition. It is by force and it is slavery to the State.

This is what the Left is about. Control, brutal forced, and LIES.

Totalitarianism in all forms is EVIL.

Socialist
Marxist

My uncle fought in WW1 and WWII...lt Colonel. When he died in 1971 he left me a bunch of stuff from WWII including all his medals and a Beretta pistol.

He also took hundreds of pictues covering a lot of scenes in Europe. I have this one picture of him and Eisenhower in some room playing cards and a few empty beer bottles laying around.

His wife, my aunt, was also a Lt Colonel and served in postwar Japan during MacArthur’s military governership. I used to love to hear their stories.

"But no doubt, the long-term goals of Röhm and Hitler were the same. Hitler would just wait until they were no longer needed.”

I agree!

Mussolini and Hitler both started out as socialists, and then Mussolini (before Hitler) came up with the idea of Fascism. The only difference is not what this author claims, but that Fascism admits that the state controls everything and everybody - whereas Socialism/Communism pretends that the state is just some temporary caretaker put in place just until the utopia is fully functional. Both are totalitarian, both minimize the importance of the individual, and both are really bad ideas.

I propose that all of us who don't ever want to live under Socialism/Communism each buy a one way airplane ticket for a leftist who thinks those are good ideas. They can pick between North Korea, China, Cuba, or Venezuela as places to live. I'd be more than happy to sponsor a one-way trip for several of them.

Ruined by the fourth sentence. No idea who he is, except he is a nobody.

But socialism requires worker ownership and control of the means of production...wrong - that's communism - socialism requires government ownership or control of the means of production - and that described Nazism perfectly - both communism and socialism are collectivist, totalitarian schemes that destroy private enterprise and further, individual liberty and all that goes with it - initiative, ambition, and industry.....

“Who is this fool?! The Far Right and the Far Left clearly loop around and meet each other full circle.”

That, is exactly correct. The idea of a linear political spectrum is entirely inaccurate - unless you devise one that has state control and totalitarianism at one end and individualism and personal freedom at the other.

There is not now, nor was there ever anything ‘smart’ or intellectual about those who espouse the ideas labeled as ‘leftist’.

Here’s a preview.

Unfortunately they’ve only had a couple of one-night screenings. I went to the one last Monday. I don’t know if they are going to schedule another one.

While it should be out soon on DVD and streaming, I think you should try to see it in a theater, if possible.

Here’s the trailer.

Here’s how this works: Hitler was a notorious racist. Leftists define anyone opposed to them as racist. Ergo conservatives are racist, and Hitler was a conservative. These things are easy when you get to control the terms of debate.

I always wondered why Hitler had it out so much for Poland.

Hitler was a mess and trying to use logic with the illogical is insanity writ large.

I think Poland, like much of it's history, was caught in the middle. I think Hitler's rhetoric about "Lebensraum" and the eventual fight against Soviet communism led him to "step" on Poland which was full of Jewish people who fled Czarist Russia and anti Semitic Germany.
Hitler wasn't squeamish about stepping on anyone who go in his way.
The fact that Poland prefered to treaty with the Brits and French also riled him, I guess.

They are now that Saddam’s army is no more.

Although his Iraqi troops broke into a high step that, with the white gloves, made them look gay.

There was plenty of racism in Communist countries.

Their treatment of the Gypsy populations was rather atrocious.
