A family on vacation in Florida says that they were kicked off their American Airlines flight home to Detroit because fellow passengers were complaining about their body odor.
Yossi and Jennie Adler say they were removed from the flight, along with their 1-year-old daughter, from Miami on Wednesday because passengers told the crew they smelled bad. ABC News reports that airline staff escorted the family off the plane and told them to book another flight after several passengers complained.
All of a sudden, as soon as they took us off, they closed the gate and then they said, Sorry, sir, some people complained you had body odor and were not letting you back on,' Yossi Adler told local news station WPLG on Thursday. Theres no body odor that we have. Theres nothing wrong with us, he added. I want them to own up to what really happened and to tell me the truth.
American Airlines told WPLG that it was indeed the couples body odor that got them kicked off the flight. Mr. Adler and his wife were removed from the flight when several passengers complained about their body odor, the airline told the news channel in a statement. They have been booked into a hotel for the night and given meal vouchers. They have been rebooked on a flight Thursday.
Yossi said he believes there was a religious reason theyre kicking me off the plane, he said in a video. The Adler family is Jewish.
The family finally made it home to Detroit along with their luggage. The airline had promised to offload it when the family was booted from the flight, but the bags didnt arrive until the Adlers were back in Detroit.

plenty of ethnic groups which you associate with smelling bad.
The name Yossi offers a clue. I was in a room once with a person from Asia, and I still cannot believe the odor. I left quickly.
If on a plane, I would have asked for a parachute.
But the Adler family is Jewish, that means what?
When I saw the flight was to Detroit, I wondered if muslims on the plane are stirring up trouble for Jewish family?
and they are pictured . Adler should not blame anti - Jews
A religious reason my ass! Take a flippin shower.
great thinking there about Detroit.
One one trip, I was seated near a person that smelled like a bag of boiled onions dipped in rotting fish and a guy who was eating sour cream and chive chips and licking his fingers and wiping them on the seatback in front of him.
It was only a 70 minute flight and I spent most of it in the toilet.
in toilet as an escape?
Bus toilet(Greyhound) are no escapes. :( Out of the frying pan into the fire.
No one cares if they are Jewish...and how would anyone have known? If someone stinks, they stink. End of story.
But hey, let’s make a scene out of it, and play the victim card any way we can! Maybe we can sue and get rich!
So sick of the institutional Victimization Olympics in America.
I was responding to the name.
Israel is part of Asia.
Judging by the photo and his name, Id say theyre probably ultra-orthodox or possibly Hasidic. Strangely enough, the menfolk often seem to have an aversion to bathing, wearing deodorant or getting their usually heavy woollen clothing cleaned. I worked in a business that had several of employees from Borough Park; one of the men had a private office, and we all dreaded having to go in there because it smelled so bad.
I think failure to take care of hygiene was intended as a declaration of unworldliness and piety.
Oddly enough, I never noticed that the women smelled bad, although then again, one had little contact with the women, who adhered to a strict dress code (always covering their hair, never exposing their elbows) and who usually didnt work outside the home or at any rate in any non-Orthodox Jewish business.
Worked with lots of Jewish guys. Most did not smell. One smelled awful. Another Jewish guy says that he was a ( pick a sect. I forgot). And they stay in a natural state.
Thats it. Cant remember the sect

In the pic, the man and woman are wearing Jewish head coverings.
Goint to Detroit. There were surely saracens on that plane and Yossi wore a kippah and was thus identifiable at a glance. Mussulmans say that Jews smell bad. Their Jewishness smells bad.
Flying has become unpleasant for so many reasons. The way they cram extra seats on every plane is not healthy, comfortable, or pleasant. It's not going to change as long as flyers will endure these indignities (plus being treated like cattle with mad cow disease at airports) because they want cheap tickets.
No one has mentioned the folks from India who reek of curry? Ive been around who have that stench coming from their skin.
