Native American elder Nathan Phillips, who has made headlines everywhere after a video showed him in a face-off with a Catholic school student in front of the Lincoln Memorial, spoke at length with CNN the day after the incident. Phillips described what he felt was hatred coming from the young people in the crowd, who are pupils at Covington Catholic School in Kentucky and who had traveled to the nation's capital to attend the March for Life rally, also held Friday. The interview was conducted Saturday after the video went viral. Since the interview, the diocese in charge of the school has denounced the students' actions, a lawmaker has defended them and the boy in the video, Nick Sandmann, has denied characterizations of his and his classmates' behavior and said he was simply standing in front of Phillips to let him know he wouldn't be baited into an altercation.

I made a mistake though, I watched it again and he didn’t call himself a “Vietnam era vet” but a “Vietnam time vet”.

In his own words, Phillips projected his negative imaginings onto others, then acted aggressively in reaction to his own thoughts. That defines a dangerous psychotic. What does it tell us that half the country and 99% of its “celebrities” just rushed to accept his version of events?
Yes but a really hot one.
The Marine Rangers were disbanded shortly after the end of WWII. MARSOC was created sometime around 2006 and the Ranger name came back a couple of years ago. There were no Marine Rangers in Vietnam as they were decommissioned at that time.

I think the truth will come out because the way this story is developing it will end up in the courts.
Well we’ll see. I hate to doubt anyones service but the left so many times before have pushed stolen valor. In the coming week we will know, somebody will out him or confirm.

Much less the call to kill others over it? And yes, they are ALL DEADLY SERIOUS in their calls to kill these children. They kill children every day and fight for the right to do so.
Not withstanding this man was trying to provoke a violent reaction from the kids and failed. His original plan failed so he made up a different story. He ‘felt’ threatened was as good a story as any. Because white life loving conservative young males are open season.

There were no Recon Rangers at any time in the Corps. They were Marine Raiders and my father was one.
