Freshman lawmaker Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez dropped a hammer on Joe Lieberman on Thursday, after the onetime Democratic vice presidential candidate said he feared her brand of high-tax socialism could doom the party's chances for long-term dominance in Congress.
'I certainly hope she’s not the future and I don’t believe she is,' Lieberman said in a Fox Business Network interview. He retired in 2013 after serving 24 years in the U.S. Senate.
The 29-year-old Ocasio-Cortez retweeted the 76-year-old's sentiment with a four-word rejoinder: 'New party, who dis?'
'Who dis?' is a common response to a text message from an unknown number. Among millennials in the smartphone generation, the phrase has morphed into a snarky tool for rejecting someone by framing their approach as a mistake.

She was a teeny bopper when Lieberman was Gore's VP.....before launching his own failed presidential bid.
I kind of like her. Not her politics, of course. But her spunk. I hope she stays that way. Her crazy NY district will probably keep voting for her.

She needs to have a talk with Al Franken. I remember when Senator Franken refused to allow Senator Lieberman to finish his remarks on the Senate floor because of his support of the Iraq war. The other senators were shocked to say the least and the next senator to speak yielded time to Joe to finish his remarks. It was the first time that anyone could remember that this had happened. Fast forward to the Leann Tweeden incident. Why did Al resign so fast? My belief is he looked around and realized that he didn’t have a single friend in the chamber. No one stood up for him. Joe Lieberman, agree with him or not, was a highly respected man on both sides of the aisle.
Joe Lieberman is too conservative, too centrist, too neoconservative on Israel, but very socially liberal on abortion and probably gay marriage.
He’s anti-affirmative action, and he like Jim Webb, Joe Manchin are not liked by the Far Left.
Don’t forget eyes so buggy she’s got a 220 degree field of vision. If she could catch flies by flinging her tongue, she’d be a dead ringer for a frog.
