She’s obviously out for the moolaaa and had no choice but to go after her employer because the ding who grabbed her most likely does not have deep pockets. McDonald’s does.
I did. But post #37 was a reply to your insistence on repeating your opinion about the lawsuit, in spite of my not mentioning it, so I gave you mine.
It was company policy not to keep straws handy, in order to save the whales and fishies, which enraged the customer.
I bet it as something to do with this idiocy:
St. Petersburg council passes ban on straws beginning in ...

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. The St. Petersburg City Council has approved a ban of single-use plastic straws by food service establishments. The ban will take effect on Jan. 1, 2020. Starting in 2019 ...
Once a patient attacked one of our security officers at my VA hospital where I worked. The officer was not doing to well in the fray. I joined in to help control the patient. He broke my glasses and I had a couple of bruises. He was young and big and psychotic. This was two in the morning in a deserted hallway. The officer really needed help. Oddly the officer could have taken the patient out if he did not purposefully not use great force. One must not harm the patient. Thus the patient obtained the advantage and was trying to choke the officer to death.
The concept of suing the VA for my very minor bruises and glasses was totally foreign to my belief system. I just went back to work that night and the next day filed an incident report.
Oddly the patient came back some weeks later after being properly medicated and apologized for his actions. He was not a bad man but simply a sick man.
The officer and I became great friends and often laughed about the incident.
Now she’s management material.
WTG kiddo. That jerk deserved it. No Big Mac for him!
I didn’t like the movie. Over the top.
Being placed on leave can be punitive, compassionate, or simply to avoid disruption from the widespread publicity.
Nothing here appears to even hint which it is.
TA DA!
He’s suing because she defended herself???
It’s the American way!
#12. Michael Douglas’ father, Kirk, is a flaming liberal and claimed credit for “breaking” the “blacklist” of communists that prevented them from getting work under their own names.
Michael is also very liberal. Turns out that Kirk’s “mentor” on the “blacklist” etc, was a communist party member named Jeff Corey. You do the math!
Kirk was really proud of getting work for that communist POS Dalton Trumbo.
You wiz teh threddz!
She’s right to sue him...the fight shows she’s trying to break his hold on her which he had no business doing....Prick needs some jail time out!
It was NOT a company policy, but a local law that straws must be requested. MacDs was simply following the law.
That film is propaganda, ‘subtil’ (or not), I think the guy breaking it down in the following is a FReeper. YMMV.

I’m going to my doctor on Monday after reading this.
When in doubt, sue the one with deep pockets
We were both brought up the same. Unless the incident absolutely demands a suit being filed, it is just chalked up to life experiences. Frivolous lawsuits have become the norm nowadays as people decide to take a spin at the wealth generation wheel of litigation processes. A lot of that has to do with too many lawyers being produced I suspect. 8>)
I think she hired Crump-—
Crump is a bigger ambulance chaser than Johnnie Cochran.
