We have done the “Bush/Dole, et.al.” thing for years and what has it gotten us? The left is completely uncivil and ruthless and we are expected to “be above it” and yet we continue to lose.
Trump, to his credit, fights back. It’s not pretty and sometimes inartful, but he is devastatingly effective.
Bongino had offered a couple of anecdotes about Trump this week. Including IIRC that his mother used to work at LaGuardia Airport when Trump had his airline, and that he was known among the workers there about making a point to connect with his airlines staffers there, including going onto the planes and talking not only with the pilots, etc., but seeking out the cleaning crews and giving them $100 tips for their work. This of course goes way back and was never publicized anywhere.
