Controversial Treatment Transfuses Patients With ‘Young Blood’ From Teenagers To Reverse Aging

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Could the secret to eternal youth be found in blood transfusions from young people? Some claim that transfusions with “young blood” from teenagers can reverse the aging process.

It’s being tested in patients over the age of 35 as part of a clinical trial called ambrosia, where people paid $8,000 to get the rich growth factors found in bloods plasma platelets.

“There are pretty much people from most states, people from overseas, people from Europe and Australia,” Dr. Jesse Karmazin said.

Results of the trial have not been published.

Dr. Karmazin, who plans to open a business selling young blood, says patients who’ve had it say they feel amazing, and he says he’s seen evidence of reversing the aging process in rats.

“Their brains are younger, their hearts. Their hair, if it was gray, it turns dark again,” he said

Given the colleges lack of concern about loss of brain cells, probably very little

I’m not sure about the benefit. But it has not hurt me. There was one time that I felt a little weaker for a few days. Only once.

They schedule me regularly and then tell me in general terms where the blood was used and when. Makes me feel good about it.

It’s even better when the blood has come from a teen who was tortured first. It’s called adrenachrome. Just ask Hillary and her friend Jon about that.

I’ve been disqualified from giving blood since 2002 when Red Cross decided that anyone stationed in Germany 1980-1990 has mad cow disease.

OK, fine, they won’t get my A neg 6% rare blood type. And the blood content in my alcohol probably isn’t high enough, anyway.

It will be a series of dystopian YA novels before the end of next year, with a movie to follow.

Me, too, although I was stationed in Spain at the time. I tell people that even though I am fine, anyone who gets my blood will get mad cow disease and die.

“Dr. Karmazin, who plans to open a business selling young blood....”

No one has opined the obvious....Karmazin is a low life huckster and is using the idiot media for free PR.

IMHO, his trial “results” are fiction....where is the peer review?

SNAKE OIL!

Studies have been done showing all things being equal, the mortality rate is higher at one year for those who have received a blood transfusion over those who have not. This is not the fountain of youth and many be harmful.
_____________________

Of course it would be, people receiving blood transfusions, on the whole, have had their health in jeopardy

Now transfusing for the sake of transfusing...that would be another kettle of fish.

I said all things being equal. Adjusting for whatever condition caused them to need the transfusion they still have a higher mortality rate. Transfusion is lifesaving when needed but still carries some risk.
